Two-Dimensional Underdetermined DOA Estimation of Quasi-Stationary Signals using Parallel Nested Array [PDF]

open access: yesRadioengineering, 2020
In this paper, a two dimensional underdetermined direction of arrival estimation (DOA) of quasi-stationary signals using a parallel nested array structure is investigated.

Design and analysis strategies for robust microbiome ageing research

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
The gut microbiome changes with age and associates with age‐related morbidity and mortality, establishing it as a potential biomarker and intervention target for ageing. Realising this potential requires methodological rigour, yet distinguishing biological signals from methodological artefacts remains challenging across cohorts. This review provides an

Network divergence analysis identifies adaptive gene modules and two orthogonal vulnerability axes in pancreatic cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Tumors contain diverse cellular states whose behavior is shaped by context‐dependent gene coordination. By comparing gene–gene relationships across biological contexts, we identify adaptive transcriptional modules that reorganize into distinct vulnerability axes.

Engineered extracellular vesicles enriched with the miR‐214/199a cluster enhance the efficacy of chemotherapy in ovarian cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Loss of the miR‐214/199a cluster is associated with recurrence in ovarian cancer. Engineered small extracellular vesicles (m214‐sEVs) elevate miR‐214‐3p/miR‐199a‐5p in tumor cells, suppress β‐catenin, TLR4, and YKT6 signaling, reprogram tumor‐derived sEV cargo, reduce chemoresistance and migration, and enhance carboplatin efficacy and survival in ...

Keratin 19 as a prognostic marker and contributing factor of metastasis and chemoresistance in high‐grade serous ovarian cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Keratin 19 (KRT19) is overexpressed in high‐grade serous ovarian cancer with high levels of Kallikrein‐related peptidases (KLK) 4–7 and is associated with poor survival. In vivo analyses demonstrate that elevated KRT19 increases peritoneal tumour burden.

Deep Learning-Based Travel Time Estimation in Hiking with Consideration of Individual Walking Ability

open access: yesCybernetics and Information Technologies
Hiking is popular, but mountain accidents are serious problems. Accurately predicting hiking travel time is an essential factor in preventing mountain accidents.

Robust Blind Algorithm for DOA Estimation Using TDOA Consensus

open access: yesAcoustics
This paper proposes a robust blind algorithm for direction of arrival (DOA) estimation in challenging acoustic environments. The method introduces a novel Time Difference of Arrival (TDOA) consensus framework that effectively identifies and filters ...

Establishment of a humanized patient‐derived xenograft mouse model of high‐grade serous ovarian cancer for preclinical evaluation of combination immunotherapy

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
We have established a humanized orthotopic patient‐derived xenograft (Hu‐oPDX) mouse model of high‐grade serous ovarian cancer (HGSOC) that recapitulates human tumor–immune interactions. Using combined anti‐PD‐L1/anti‐CD73 immunotherapy, we demonstrate the model's improved biological relevance and enhanced translational value for preclinical ...

An Error Analysis Method for Correlation-Based Parameter Estimators in Discrete-Time Signals Under Gaussian Noise

open access: yesIEEE Access
In this study, we expand on a previously introduced method for computing the error statistics associated with estimating the time of arrival of a known signal in sampled data with additive white Gaussian noise (AWGN).

Position determination of acoustic source using higher-order spectral analysis for time of arrival estimation [PDF]

open access: yesScientific Technical Review, 2019
The localization of various acoustic sources in a battlefield (such as weapon rounds, mortars, rockets, mines, improvised explosive devices, vehicle-borne improvised explosive devices and airborne vehicles) nowadays has a significant history. In acoustic
