Simultaneous enhancement of strength, ductility, and hardness of TiN/AlSi10Mg nanocomposites via selective laser melting

Additive Manufacturing, 2020
Metal additive manufacturing (AM) techniques, such as selective laser melting (SLM), enable the fabrication of advanced aluminum matrix composites (AMCs) with distinct microstructure and enhanced mechanical properties.

Tin and Tin Alloys

1998
Abstract Tin is a soft, brilliant white, low-melting metal that is most widely known and characterized in the form of coating. This article discusses the primary and secondary production of tin and explains the uses of tin in coating, namely tinplating, electroplating, and hot dip coatings.

A Dual‐Functional Conductive Framework Embedded with TiN‐VN Heterostructures for Highly Efficient Polysulfide and Lithium Regulation toward Stable Li–S Full Batteries

Advances in Materials, 2019
Lithium–sulfur (Li–S) batteries are strongly considered as next‐generation energy storage systems because of their high energy density. However, the shuttling of lithium polysulfides (LiPS), sluggish reaction kinetics, and uncontrollable Li‐dendrite ...

Compressing TINs

Proceedings of the 6th ACM international symposium on Advances in geographic information systems, 1998
We address the problem of designing compact data structures for encoding a Triangulated Irregular Network (TIN) as a sequential bitstream. In particular, we study the problem of compressing connectivity, i.e., the information describing the topological structure of the TIN and we propose two new compression methods which have different purposes.

On Tins and Tin-Openers

2011
A class of broadly fictionalist and arealist objections (by Balaguer, Maddy, and others) to the indispensability argument for mathematical realism denies that indispensability entails realism. This paper argues that these objections fail against Putnam’s version of the argument: scientists indispensably use mathematics to draw conclusions about ...

Riedel singularity in tin-tin oxide-tin tunnel junctions

Journal of Low Temperature Physics, 1976
The Riedel peak in the Josephson supercurrent in Sn-Sn oxide-Sn tunnel junctions has been investigated by studying the amplitudes of microwave-induced steps. At low temperatures, the peak rises to a value approximately 2.8 times the zero-voltage supercurrent amplitude.

Tin Mössbauer spectroscopy of tin-rich iridium-tin alloys

Hyperfine Interactions, 1988
Ir5Sn7, Ir3Sn7 and newly obtained IrSn4 /4/ exhibit complex Mossbauer spectra. The positions of the individual lines range from 0.82 to 3.0 mm/s and the average isomer shift\(\overline {IS} \) derived for each compound of Sn atomic percentage x follows the relationship:\(\overline {IS} = 0.60 + 0.0194 x\).
