ABSTRACT Zoonotic infections caused by influenza A viruses (IAVs) of animal origin are a major public health concern, as they may represent the initial step toward the emergence of a pandemic strain. The host range of IAVs is shaped by species‐specific virus‐host interactions, and several host barriers have been identified that restrict the adaptation ...

ABSTRACT As a crucial puzzle piece of deep space exploration, exploring small bodies can provide significant scientific insights and valuable mineral resources. Unlike missions to the Moon and Mars, small‐body missions pose distinct technical challenges, including communication delays, weak gravity, and uncertain environments. This paper reviews a full

Photonic nanovoids for tailored optoelectronic response in silicon solar cells
Optoelectronic workflow followed by experimental validation, demonstrating state‐of‐the‐art efficiency gains. Abstract As crystalline silicon (c‐Si) solar cells become thinner to reduce cost and weight, the optical design principles that govern light trapping (LT) must evolve.

This study evaluates the performances of synchronous aerial visible (VIS) and thermal infrared (TIR) imagery for detecting great blue heron (Ardea herodias) nests and individuals using a YOLO11n model. VIS and TIR images were automatically aligned using deep learning, and both early and late fusion approaches were tested.

Resource managers require accurate estimates of large herbivore abundance and demography to maintain ecological integrity. Common methods to count these species, including observations from low altitude helicopter flights, may conflict with other protected area management objectives and struggle to produce precise estimates for more cryptic species. To

Russian wheat aphid: a model for genomic plasticity and a challenge to breeders
Invasive foundress finds suitable habitat and reproduces through pathogenesis. Wingless females produce life offspring quickly, which leads to high population densities. High population densities result in competition, which may induce epigenetic changes and wing development for dispersal.
