Distribution of norovirus in oyster tissues [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Applied Microbiology, 2008
To study the distribution of norovirus (NV) in oyster tissues.Five monoclonal antibodies (MAbs) against VP1 were selected from Balb/c mice. Immunohistochemical analysis was performed to detect native NV in different tissues of artificially contaminated oysters using the MAbs. The data showed that the gills and the digestive glands are efficient tissues

Pharmacokinetics and tissue distribution of four major bioactive components of Cynanchum auriculatum extract: a UPLC–MS/MS study in normal and functional dyspepsia rats

open access: yesFrontiers in Pharmacology, 2023
Introduction:Cynanchum auriculatum (CA) is usually used to treat digestive disorders, such as anorexia, enteritis, dysentery, and indigestion. Functional dyspepsia (FD) is characterized by a group of symptoms associated with the gastroduodenal region ...

Protein kinase a distribution differentiates human glioblastoma from brain tissue [PDF]

open access: yes, 2017
Brain tumor glioblastoma has no clear molecular signature and there is no effective therapy. In rodents, the intracellular distribution of the cyclic AMP (cAMP)-dependent protein kinase (Protein kinase A, PKA) R2Alpha subunit was previously shown to ...

Tissue and subcellular distribution of CLIC1 [PDF]

open access: yesBMC Cell Biology, 2007
Abstract Background CLIC1 is a chloride channel whose cellular role remains uncertain. The distribution of CLIC1 in normal tissues is largely unknown and conflicting data have been reported regarding the cellular membrane fraction in which CLIC1 resides.

Absolute Bioavailability, Tissue Distribution, and Excretion of Erinacine S in Hericium erinaceus Mycelia

open access: yesMolecules, 2019
Erinacine S, so far known to have been produced only in Hericium erinaceus mycelia, has just recently been discovered and is able to reduce amyloid plaque growth and improve neurogenesis in aged brain of rats.

A mathematical and numerical framework for ultrasonically-induced Lorentz force electrical impedance tomography [PDF]

open access: yes, 2014
We provide a mathematical analysis and a numerical framework for Lorentz force electrical conductivity imaging. Ultrasonic vibration of a tissue in the presence of a static magnetic field induces an electrical current by the Lorentz force.

PEPTIDASE DISTRIBUTION IN LYMPHATIC TISSUE [PDF]

open access: yesThe Journal of Cell Biology, 1955
The lymphatic tissue of the rabbit contains a labile peptidase as measured by the hydrolysis of alanylglycine. Some characteristics of the enzyme were determined. This enzyme increases in amount when the numbers of macrophages in the tissue are increased and it is also present in the extracellular fluid in high concentration.

Cross-tissue immune cell analysis reveals tissue-specific features in humans

open access: yesScience, 2022
Despite their crucial role in health and disease, our knowledge of immune cells within human tissues remains limited. We surveyed the immune compartment of 16 tissues from 12 adult donors by single-cell RNA sequencing and VDJ sequencing generating a ...
