Natural Killer Cells in Paediatric Soft Tissue Sarcomas: A Systematic Review
ABSTRACT Paediatric soft tissue sarcomas (pSTS) are a rare and heterogeneous group of malignant tumours arising in tissues of mesenchymal origin. The role of natural killer (NK) cells in pSTS remains poorly understood, with evidence fragmented across small preclinical studies and early‐phase clinical trials.

PEPTIDASE DISTRIBUTION IN LYMPHATIC TISSUE [PDF]
The lymphatic tissue of the rabbit contains a labile peptidase as measured by the hydrolysis of alanylglycine. Some characteristics of the enzyme were determined. This enzyme increases in amount when the numbers of macrophages in the tissue are increased and it is also present in the extracellular fluid in high concentration.

A Bibliometric Analysis of Publications in Uremic Toxins From 1991 to 2024
ABSTRACT Background Uremic toxins are a growing area of research in nephrology, with significant implications in the progression and treatment of chronic kidney disease (CKD) and the management of end‐stage kidney disease (ESKD). This bibliometric analysis aims to evaluate the global research trends, key contributors, and the impact of publications in ...

Tissue Distribution of 212Bi in Rats
SummaryThe 212Bi, relatively free of its parent 212Pb was injected intravenously into rats and the tissue distribution and was followed for a period of 2 hr postinjection. The kidney contained the highest concentration, equal to about 10 times that of the liver and spleen.

Distinctive High Expression of Antiretroviral APOBEC3 Protein in Mouse Germinal Center B Cells
Tissue and subcellular localization and its changes upon cell activation of virus-restricting APOBEC3 at protein levels are important to understanding physiological functions of this cytidine deaminase, but have not been thoroughly analyzed in vivo.

Fluorescent probes allow dynamic visualization of phosphoinositides in living cells (left), whereas mass spectrometry provides high‐sensitivity, isomer‐resolved quantitation (right). Their synergistic use captures complementary aspects of lipid signaling. This review illustrates how these approaches reveal the spatiotemporal regulation and quantitative

Distribution of Adipose Tissue in the Newborn [PDF]
Regional differences in adipose tissue distribution are associated with differences in adipocyte metabolism and obesity-related morbidities. Intrauterine growth restriction appears to place individuals at greater risk of obesity associated morbidities in later life. Despite this, little is known regarding the quantity and distribution of adipose tissue

Phosphatidylinositol 4‐kinase as a target of pathogens—friend or foe?
This graphical summary illustrates the roles of phosphatidylinositol 4‐kinases (PI4Ks). PI4Ks regulate key cellular processes and can be hijacked by pathogens, such as viruses, bacteria and parasites, to support their intracellular replication. Their dual role as essential host enzymes and pathogen cofactors makes them promising drug targets.

In this study, we found that human cervical‐derived adipocytes maintain intracellular iron level by regulating the expression of iron transport‐related proteins during adrenergic stimulation. Melanotransferrin is predicted to interact with transferrin receptor 1 based on in silico analysis.
