TLD-100 and Radiochromic Dye Film in Medical Dosimetry

AIP Conference Proceedings, 2006
TLD‐100 and radiochromic dye films are two types of the dosimeters most used in the medical physics area. Both are secondary detectors and operate in a different way and in different dose measurement ranges. The use of TLD‐100 is based on the thermoluminescent process, and the RDF in the optical density change when has been exposed to an irradiation ...

On the mechanism of phototransfer thermoluminescence in LiF TLD-100

Journal of Physics D: Applied Physics, 1988
LiF TLD-100 exposed to 25.8 C kg-1 and then annealed at 350 degrees C for 15 minutes contains defects responsible for the 225 nm optical absorption band and peak XII. Other defects have not been identified in this sample. Consequently, phototransfer thermoluminescence (PTTL) has been assumed to originate from peak XII.

[Control measurements with TLD-100 sticks for selected radiation fields].

Strahlentherapie und Onkologie : Organ der Deutschen Rontgengesellschaft ... [et al], 1989
The influence exerted on dose distribution by the specific mass of the material is investigated for irradiation planning on the basis of CT matrices. It is shown that the specific masses of the Alderson phantom actually differ from those calculated by conversion of CT figures.
