Developing a hetero-alkali-metal chemistry of 2,2,6,6-tetramethylpiperidide (TMP) : stoichiometric and structural diversity within a series of lithium/sodium, lithium/potassium and sodium/potassium TMP compounds

open access: yes, 2011
Studied extensively in solution and in the solid state, Li(TMP) (TMP=2,2,6,6-tetramethylpiperidide) is an important utility reagent popular as a strongly basic, weakly nucleophilic tool for C-H metallation. Recently, there has been a surge in interest in

A Universal Nucleoside‐to‐Nucleoside‐5′‐Triphosphate Enzyme Cascade Driven by Polyphosphate

open access: yesAngewandte Chemie International Edition, EarlyView.
Nucleoside‐5′‐triphosphates (NTPs) are essential components for the generation of nucleic acids, yet their chemical synthesis is hindered by the low yield of nucleoside phosphorylation. Here, we present a universal, two‐enzyme nucleoside‐to‐NTP cascade that is driven by polyphosphate.

Sulphonation of TMP Fibers

open access: yes, 1984
Paper made from TMP fibers offers good opacity and stiffness, but its use is limited because of its low strength. Chemical post-treatment of TMP offers possibilities of improving strength.

Composites of High-Temperature Thermomechanical Pulps and Polylactic Acid

open access: yesBioResources, 2015
High-temperature thermomechanical pulps (HT-TMP, defibrated at 150 to 170 °C) were compared to a reference TMP (defibrated at 130 °C) as a reinforcement for polylactic acid (PLA).

Pure Inverse Spin Hall Effect in Ferromagnetic Ni80Fe20/Y3Fe5O12 (YIG) Heterostructures via the Longitudinal Spin Seebeck Effect

open access: yesAdvanced Physics Research, EarlyView.
A pure inverse spin Hall effect (ISHE) is demonstrated in ferromagnetic Ni₈₀Fe2₀/YIG heterostructures via the longitudinal spin Seebeck effect. By employing symmetry‐controlled geometries and reference samples, anomalous Nernst contributions are quantitatively eliminated, revealing intrinsic spin–charge conversion in Ni₈₀Fe2₀.

Re‐evaluation of a soft crested Edmontosaurin, with implications for hadrosaurid life appearance and diversity

open access: yesThe Anatomical Record, EarlyView.
Abstract Hadrosaurid dinosaurs are generally regarded as “crested” or “non‐crested” depending on the presence or absence of a bony cranial crest. At least one supposedly “non‐crested” hadrosaur is known to have possessed a soft tissue cranial crest (or comb), based on an exceptionally preserved “mummified” specimen. Here we redescribe this specimen and

Cranial anatomy of a Late Cretaceous aspidorhynchid fish (Neopterygii: Aspidorhynchiformes) from Alberta, Canada

open access: yesThe Anatomical Record, EarlyView.
Abstract Belonostomus longirostrisis was named for an isolated jaw fragment from freshwater Upper Cretaceous (Campanian) sediments of the Dinosaur Park Formation of Alberta, Canada. Following the description of the Albertan species, numerous isolated cranial and postcranial elements have been collected from the Dinosaur Park Formation and assigned to B.

Tetramethylpyrazine promotes osteo-angiogenesis during bone fracture repair

open access: yesJournal of Orthopaedic Surgery and Research
Background Nonunion following a long bone fracture has gained a lot of attention due to the dreadful impact on the life quality of tremendous patients. Recent data have demonstrated the important involvement of angiogenesis in improving fracture healing.

The internal crest anatomy of Lambeosaurini (Hadrosauridae: Lambeosaurinae)

open access: yesThe Anatomical Record, EarlyView.
Abstract The supracranial crests of lambeosaurine hadrosaurids have long been a focus of study due primarily to their extreme morphology. The external anatomy of lambeosaurine crests is understood to be highly variable between species, but variation in their internal anatomy is less well understood.
