X-ray structure of TMP kinase from Mycobacterium tuberculosis complexed with TMP at 1.95 Å resolution

open access: yesJournal of Molecular Biology, 2001
The X-ray structure of Mycobacterium tuberculosis TMP kinase at 1.95 A resolution is described as a binary complex with its natural substrate TMP. Its main features involve: (i) a clear magnesium-binding site; (ii) an alpha-helical conformation for the so-called LID region; and (iii) a high density of positive charges in the active site.

Diphosphine derivatives—I. The vibrational spectrum of tetramethyldiphosphine disulphide (tmps) and of tmps-d12 and tmps-13C4

Spectrochimica Acta Part A: Molecular Spectroscopy, 1977
Abstract The i.r. and Raman spectra of tetramethyldiphosphine disulphide (tmps) and of tmps-d 12 and tmps- 13 C 4 are reported and the assignment of the skeletal modes is discussed. Raman polarization data confirm previous assignments for the PS and PP stretching modes and the symmetric PPS bend is assigned at Δν = 170 cm −1 .

TMP–Magnesium and TMP–Zinc Bases for the Regioselective Metalation of the Cinnoline Scaffold

Organic Letters, 2014
A regioselective functionalization of cinnolines in positions 3 and 8 using metalations has been developed. This involves either the use of a frustrated Lewis pair consisting of BF3·Et2O and TMP2Mg·2LiCl or the in situ generated base TMP2Zn·2MgCl2·2LiCl. Successive metalations allow the preparation of 3,8-disubstituted cinnolines.

Synthesis and characterization of sterically hindered arylsilanes containing the 2,4,6-trimethoxyphenyl ligand (TMP): X-ray structures of (TMP)SiH3, (TMP)2SiH2, and (TMP)3SiH

Journal of Organometallic Chemistry, 1999
Abstract The homologous series of primary, secondary and tertiary silanes containing the sterically demanding 2,4,6-trimethoxyphenyl (TMP) group have been prepared in yields ranging from 22 to 45%. The arylsilanes were characterized by multinuclear NMR, IR, GC–MS, elemental analyses, and X-ray crystallography.
