Early clinical pharmacology evaluation of the novel anti‐inflammatory macrolide, glasmacinal (EP395): tolerability, pharmacokinetics and drug interactions

open access: yesBritish Journal of Clinical Pharmacology, Volume 92, Issue 7, Page 2349-2363, July 2026.
Abstract Aims This work assessed the pharmacokinetics (PK), safety and tolerability of glasmacinal (EP395, an oral anti‐inflammatory macrolide with negligible antimicrobial activity in development for COPD treatment) in two healthy participant trials: ‘first‐in‐human’ (FIH) and ‘drug–drug‐interaction’ (DDI).

Prognostic Factors in Acute Ischemic Stroke With a Decreased Estimated Glomerular Filtration Rate

open access: yesBrain and Behavior, Volume 16, Issue 7, July 2026.
ABSTRACT Introduction Intra‐arterial thrombectomy (IAT), which is widely used to treat acute ischemic stroke, occasionally results in adverse outcomes. IAT‐associated risks in patients with decreased estimated glomerular filtration rate (eGFR) remain undefined.

Motives Towards Consumer‐to‐Consumer Online Marketplaces: A Latent Profile Analysis of Users' Relationships With Home and Material Possessions

open access: yesJournal of Community &Applied Social Psychology, Volume 36, Issue 4, July/August 2026.
ABSTRACT Consumer‐to‐consumer online marketplaces (C2CM) represent a growing phenomenon whose underlying psychosocial dimensions have been scarcely studied so far. The present study aims at identifying the patterns of psychosocial drivers underlying the main motives towards their use—that is, sale‐related, purchase‐related and well‐being‐ and QoL ...

Atypical Case of Takayasu Aortitis Presenting as Embolic Stroke With Concomitant Massive Thoracic Artery Aneurysm

open access: yesClinical Case Reports, Volume 14, Issue 7, July 2026.
Multifocal aortic aneurysmal dilatation as evidenced by CT Angiography chest‐abdomen‐pelvis of the ascending aorta (A), aortic arch (B), and suprarenal abdominal aorta (C), measuring 6.0 × 6.0, 4.5 × 4.5, and 4.1 × 3.7 cm, respectively. ABSTRACT We describe the case of a 44‐year‐old female with a history significant for only hypertension who presented ...

Nonlinear Association Between the C‐Reactive Protein‐To‐Albumin Ratio and Post‐Stroke Epilepsy Risk

open access: yesCNS Neuroscience &Therapeutics, Volume 32, Issue 7, July 2026.
The C‐reactive protein‐to‐albumin ratio (CAR) is a robust, independent predictor of post‐stroke epilepsy (PSE) in ischemic stroke patients, exhibiting a nonlinear, threshold‐dependent association. As an integrative biomarker, CAR holds promise for enhancing early risk stratification and informing personalized intervention strategies.

Admission Phenotype Clarifies the Apparent Prognostic Contrast Between TOAST Etiologic Subtypes in Large‐Core Anterior‐Circulation Large‐Vessel Occlusion

open access: yesCNS Neuroscience &Therapeutics, Volume 32, Issue 7, July 2026.
In large‐core anterior‐circulation LVO, the crude LAA–CE prognostic contrast was reduced by 96.2% after adjustment for measured admission phenotype in a model‐based decomposition. Adjusted EVT–outcome associations were similar across subtypes, arguing against modifying EVT selection solely by LAA versus CE etiology.

From Intention to Execution: Pre‐Race Nutrition Behaviours, Influences, and Performance Outcomes in Female Endurance Athletes at the IRONMAN World Championships

open access: yesEuropean Journal of Sport Science, Volume 26, Issue 7, July 2026.
ABSTRACT Endurance competition preparation involves complex psychological, logistical, and sociocultural factors. This study investigated the pre‐race nutrition practices of female endurance athletes, by applying a newly developed extended Theory of Planned Behaviour, including behavioural execution to the framework to capture real‐world influences ...
