Protracted tolbutamide hypoglycemia
The American Journal of Medicine, 1963Abstract Three cases of prolonged tolbutamide-induced hypoglycemia are reported. Four additional cases, with hypoglycemia greater than twenty-four hours duration, are collected from the literature. The high mortality rate may result, in part, from clinical unfamiliarity with this complication of tolbutamide administration.
