Actuator Fault Tolerant Position Control of a Quadrotor Unmanned Aerial Vehicle [PDF]

open access: yes, 2019
In this paper we design a fault tolerant single-loop position control of a quadrotor unmanned aerial vehicle. We design a nominal control law by using a feedback linearisation approach.

Single-event upset simulation and detection in configuration memory

open access: yesFrontiers in Space Technologies
Single-event upsets (SEUs) from radiation strikes in configuration memory are potentially catastrophic due to their widespread effects. For field-programmable gate arrays (FPGAs), faults in configuration memory propagate into the implemented logic design

Resposta de diferentes populações de Digitaria insularis ao herbicida glyphosate Response of different Digitaria insularis populations to glyphosate

open access: yesPlanta Daninha, 2010
Objetivou-se com estse trabalho avaliar o controle químico de diferentes populações de capim-amargoso (Digitaria insularis) pelo herbicida glyphosate por meio de curva de dose-resposta, além de propor tratamentos alternativos para as populações mais ...

'To tolerate or not to tolerate?'

open access: yes, 2022
Many Western European countries have seen strong debates about minority rights and practices such as the founding of religious schools or the wearing of religious symbols in public institutions. In these increasingly diverse societies, tolerance of one another’s practices and beliefs has often been put forward as an indispensable ingredient for ...

Epigenetic heterogeneity and plasticity in therapy‐induced tumor states through single‐cell multi‐omics

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Single‐cell multi‐omics reveals epigenetic heterogeneity across therapy‐adaptive tumor states, including quiescent/dormant, drug‐tolerant persister, and EMT‐like phenotypes. By linking regulatory features with state‐associated biomarkers, these approaches inform biomarker‐guided therapeutic strategies for evolving tumors.

Redundant Dissimilar Sensor Fusion with Dynamic Driver Input Classification and Graceful Degradation for Drive-by-Wire Applications [PDF]

open access: yes, 2010
Dissimilar sensor redundancy with force and displacement measurements can provide extended fault coverage for drive-by-wire applications. However, large variances occur when correlating these inputs in dynamic measurements.

From tumor‐centric to ecosystem‐based hypotheses in brain tumor research and care

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Primary brain tumors, whether in adults or children, present a major challenge because of their dramatic prognosis and the ongoing lack of efficient therapeutic approaches. In recent years, a shift has occurred from tumor‐centric concepts to a more holistic view of these tumors as dynamic ecosystems.

Arbuscular Mycorrhizal Fungi Inoculation and Different Phosphorus Fertilizer Levels Modulate Phosphorus Acquisition and Utilization Efficiency of Alfalfa (Medicago sativa L.) in Saline-Alkali Soil

open access: yesPlants
Phosphorus (P) is a key nutrient limiting crop growth and productivity, particularly in saline-alkali soils with low P availability. Arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi (AMF) have the potential to enhance P uptake in alfalfa (Medicago sativa L.); however, the ...

Analysing the significance of small conformational changes and low occupancy states in serial crystallographic data

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
This protocol paper outlines methods to establish the success of a time‐resolved serial crystallographic experiment, by means of statistical analysis of timepoint data in reciprocal space and models in real space. We show how to amplify the signal from excited states to visualise structural changes in successful experiments.

Cosmic-ray-induced correlated errors in superconducting qubit array

open access: yesNature Communications
Correlated errors may devastate quantum error corrections that are necessary for the realization of fault-tolerant quantum computation. Recent experiments with superconducting qubits indicate that they can arise from quasiparticle (QP) bursts induced by ...
