Leaf miner threatens tomato growing in Europe (Crop protection)
2009In February this year, entomologists of the Dutch Plant Protection Service determined a moth found at a Dutch tomato packaging facility to be Tuta absoluta. This moth is very harmful to tomato and can also live on crops such as aubergine, sweet pepper and potato. Originally from Chile, the insect appears to spread rapidly over Europe.
