The effectiveness and cost-effectiveness of computed tomography screening for coronary artery disease : systematic review [PDF]
Coronary heart disease (CHD) is one of the main causes of mortality and morbidity in the UK and other Western countries. The disease can be asymptomatic until the first event, which may be a fatal myocardial infarction (heart attack).

Optical Coherence Tomography Angiography
Optical coherence tomography angiography (OCTA) is a noninvasive approach that can visualize blood vessels down to the capillary level. With the advent of high-speed OCT and efficient algorithms, practical OCTA of ocular circulation is now available to ...

Biomolecular condensates formed by fused in sarcoma (FUS) are dissolved by high ATP concentrations yet persist in cells. Using a reconstituted system, we demonstrate that valosin‐containing protein (VCP), an AAA+ ATPase, counteracts ATP‐driven dissolution of FUS condensates through its D2 ATPase activity.

Arterial spin labeling (ASL) allows the assessment of tissue perfusion and has advantages such as non-invasiveness and the ability to repeat examinations multiple times. This enables dynamic monitoring without contrast administration.

Wavelet-Based Compressed Sensing for Polarimetric SAR Tomography
Tomographic synthetic aperture radar (SAR) imaging has been recently formulated in a wavelet-based compressed sensing (CS) framework. This paper reviews the underlying sparsity-driven algorithms for single-channel as well as polarimetric tomography, and ...

Optical coherence tomography for the non-invasive investigation of the microstructure of ancient Egyptian faience [PDF]
Optical Coherence Tomography (OCT) is a non-invasive subsurface 3D imaging technique based on the Michelson interferometer. The non-invasive nature of OCT and its speed of acquisition makes it possible to image large volumes of intact objects to yield a ...

Hyperosmotic stress induces PARP1‐mediated HPF1‐dependent mono(ADP‐ribosyl)ation
Sorbitol‐induced hyperosmotic stress rapidly induces reversible mono(ADP‐ribosyl)ation (MARylation) on PARP1 without the signs of genotoxic signaling. We show that PARP1 autoMARylation is HPF1 dependent and forms hydroxylamine‐resistant O‐glycosidic linkages.

Imaging of targets beneath foliage with SAR tomography
SAR tomography (SARTom) is an imaging technique that allows multiple phase centre separation in the vertical (height) direction, leading to a 3-dimensional (3D) reconstruction of the imaged scene. It is usually performed after standard 2D SAR repeat-pass
