The Top-k Frequent Closed Itemset Mining Using Top-k SAT Problem [PDF]
In this paper, we introduce a new problem, called Top-k SAT, that consists in enumerating the Top-k models of a propositional formula. A Top-k model is defined as a model with less than k models preferred to it with respect to a preference relation. We show that Top-k SAT generalizes two well-known problems: the partial Max-SAT problem and the problem ...

Ascidian Ciona larvae initially show strong clockwise tail twisting, which is largely corrected during development. However, a small residual twist remains. This study shows that organized helical myofibrils in tail muscles mechanically stabilize this residual asymmetry, preventing complete restoration of bilateral symmetry and revealing how embryos ...

Diversified Top-k Pattern Mining on Large Graphs [PDF]
Frequent pattern mining(FPM) is one of the most important problems in graph mining. The FPM problem is defined as mining all the patterns, with frequency above a user-defined threshold in a large graph. In recent years, with the popularity of social networks

Maintenance of top-k materialized views
In this paper we present results on the problem of maintaining materialized top-k views and provide results in two directions. The first problem we tackle concerns the maintenance of top-k views in the presence of high deletion rates. We provide a principled method that complements the inefficiency of the state of the art independently of the ...

This study reveals that the small GTPase Rab14 is necessary for human papillomavirus (HPV) infection and plays an essential role in the transport of virions to the trans‐Golgi network (TGN). HPV in the early endosome (EE), which harbors GTP‐bound Rab14, is transported to the TGN through the switch of Rab14 from its GTP‐bound to GDP‐bound form.

Modulation of Homer1 EVH1 domain internal dynamics by putative autism‐associated mutations
The putative autism‐associated M65I and S97L variants of the EVH1 domain of the postsynaptic scaffold protein Homer1 do not exhibit substantial changes in their overall structure or partner binding. Both of them, but especially the M65I variant, show altered internal dynamics relative to the wild‐type domain on the μs‐ms timescale, indicated by the ...

Fast, Expressive Top-k Matching
Top-k matching is a fundamental problem underlying on-line advertising platforms, mobile social networks, etc. Distributed processes (e.g., advertisers) specify predicates, which we call subscriptions, for events (e.g., user actions) they wish to react ...
