Top Quark Physics Results from D0

open access: yes, 2004
We describe recent measurements of the ttbar production cross section and the mass of the top quark from the D0 Collaboration.Comment: To appear in the proceedings of the Lake Louise Winter Institute, Lake Louise, Alberta, Canada, 15-21 February ...

Single‐molecule DNA flow‐stretch assays for high‐throughput DNA–protein interaction studies

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
We describe an optimised single‐molecule DNA flow‐stretch assay that visualises DNA–protein interactions in real time. Linear DNA fragments are tethered to a surface and stretched by buffer flow for fluorescence imaging. Using λ and φX174 DNA, this protocol enhances reproducibility and accessibility, providing a versatile approach for studying diverse ...

Probing the flavour structure of dimension-6 EFT operators in multilepton final states in proton-proton collisions at s = 13 $$ \sqrt{s}=13 $$ TeV

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics
An analysis of the flavour structure of dimension-6 effective field theory (EFT) operators in multilepton final states is presented, focusing on the interactions of quarks with Z bosons.

Analysing the significance of small conformational changes and low occupancy states in serial crystallographic data

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
This protocol paper outlines methods to establish the success of a time‐resolved serial crystallographic experiment, by means of statistical analysis of timepoint data in reciprocal space and models in real space. We show how to amplify the signal from excited states to visualise structural changes in successful experiments.

Measurement of the t t ¯ H $$ \textrm{t}\overline{\textrm{t}}\textrm{H} $$ and tH production rates in the H → b b ¯ $$ \textrm{b}\overline{\textrm{b}} $$ decay channel using proton-proton collision data at s $$ \sqrt{s} $$ = 13 TeV

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics
An analysis of the production of a Higgs boson (H) in association with a top quark-antiquark pair ( t t ¯ H $$ \textrm{t}\overline{\textrm{t}}\textrm{H} $$ ) or a single top quark (tH) is presented.

Top quark physics expectations at the LHC [PDF]

open access: yes, 2008
The top quark will be produced copiously at the LHC. This will make both detailed physics studies and the use of top quark decays for detector calibration possible.

Matrix metalloproteinase‐9 regulates cell adhesion and membrane protrusive activity of ovarian cancer cells

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Matrix metalloproteinase‐9 (MMP9) drives ovarian cancer progression. Using MMP9‐null cells (M9‐KO) created from ovarian cancer cells, we found MMP9 loss did not block Epidermal Growth Factor (EGF)‐driven E‐cadherin dissolution or EMT but delayed and reduced EGF‐driven membrane protrusions. Transient MMP9 re‐expression drove membrane protrusion.

Inclusive and differential cross section measurements of t t ¯ b b ¯ $$ \textrm{t}\overline{\textrm{t}}\textrm{b}\overline{\textrm{b}} $$ production in the lepton+jets channel at s $$ \sqrt{s} $$ = 13 TeV

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics
Measurements of inclusive and normalized differential cross sections of the associated production of top quark-antiquark and bottom quark-antiquark pairs, t t ¯ b b ¯ $$ \textrm{t}\overline{\textrm{t}}\textrm{b}\overline{\textrm{b}} $$ , are presented ...

Top Physics at the LHC

open access: yes, 2005
Top quark physics will be a prominent topic in Standard Model physics at the LHC. The enormous amount of top quarks expected to be produced will allow to perform a wide range of precision measurements.

Top-Quark Physics at the LHC

open access: yes, 2015
The top quark is the heaviest of all known elementary particles. It was discovered in 1995 by the CDF and D0 experiments at the Tevatron. With the start of the LHC in 2009, an unprecedented wealth of measurements of the top quark's production mechanisms ...
