MET Expression in Upper Gastrointestinal Adenocarcinoma: Prevalence, Prognostic Impact, and Implications for Anti‐MET Antibody‐Drug Conjugate Therapy

open access: yesInternational Journal of Cancer, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT MET is an actionable receptor tyrosine kinase, and MET‐directed antibody–drug conjugates (ADCs) have recently entered clinical practice with FDA approval in non‐small cell lung cancer and are now being evaluated across gastrointestinal malignancies, with patient selection based on MET immunohistochemistry (IHC) 3+ membranous staining at ...

A multiplex interactome of Ebola virus proteins reveals TM9SF2 as a cell‐surface attachment factor that promotes viral entry

open access: yesiMetaOmics, EarlyView.
This study generates a comprehensive Ebola virus (EBOV)‐human protein–protein interactome, comprising 1728 core high‐confidence interactions. Further interactome analysis revealed the potential association of EBOV glycoprotein (GP) with the host factor TM9SF2. Subsequent mechanistic investigations confirmed that TM9SF2 functions as an attachment factor

The Effects of Angiotensin Receptor Neprilysin Inhibitor on Endoplasmic Reticulum Stress in Doxorubicin‐Mediated Cardiomyopathy‐Associated Heart Failure Model in Rats

open access: yesJournal of Applied Toxicology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT One of the most serious complications associated with the use of the chemotherapeutic agent doxorubicin (DOX) is cardiomyopathy. Although cardioprotective drugs such as angiotensin receptor‐neprilysin inhibitors (ARNI) are used to prevent cardiomyopathy in DOX patients, no studies have reported the relationship between ARNI and endoplasmic ...

Synthesis, Cytotoxicity, and Apoptosis‐Associated Cell Death Activity of an Isatin‐Containing Pyrimidine‐Derived Cu(II) Complex

open access: yesJournal of Applied Toxicology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT A Cu(II) complex derived from a pyrimidine with the isatin group was synthesized and tested for its cytotoxic effects on A549 lung cancer and MCF‐7 breast cancer cell lines, as well as its effects on apoptosis‐associated cell death and cell cycle regulation in A549 cells. To evaluate cytotoxicity, MTT assays were performed at 24, 48, and 72 h,

p53 Maintains Genomic Stability by Preventing Interference between Transcription and Replication

open access: yesCell Reports, 2016
p53 tumor suppressor maintains genomic stability, typically acting through cell-cycle arrest, senescence, and apoptosis. We discovered a function of p53 in preventing conflicts between transcription and replication, independent of its canonical roles ...

Detecting Antibiotic Resistance in Strains of Selected Gram‐Negative Bacterial Species Using Raman Spectroscopy

open access: yesJournal of Raman Spectroscopy, EarlyView.
Raman spectroscopy successfully identified antibiotic‐resistant Gram‐negative strains. Resistant strains of four bacterial species were discriminated from sensitive ones with 99.1% accuracy using PLS regression. The method allows for rapid, label‐free detection of antibiotic resistance.
