Modular functors, cohomological field theories, and topological recursion
Given a topological modular functor V in the sense of Walker, we construct vector bundles [Z (lambda) over bar](g,n), over (M) over bar (g,n) whose Chern characters define semi-simple cohomological field theories.

Transducers convert physical signals into electrical and optical representations, yet each mechanism is bounded by intrinsic trade‐offs across bandwidth, sensitivity, speed, and energy. This review maps transduction mechanisms across physical scale and frequency, showing how heterogeneous integration and multiphysics co‐design transform isolated ...

We study defects in symmetry breaking phases, such as domain walls, vortices, and hedgehogs. In particular, we focus on the localized gapless excitations which sometimes occur at the cores of these objects.

Topological and non-topological solitons in scalar field theories
Solitons emerge in various non-linear systems as stable localized configurations, behaving in many ways like particles, from non-linear optics and condensed matter to nuclear physics, cosmology and supersymmetric theories.

The opto‐electronic response of polycrystalline (PEA)2PbBr4 thin films is investigated by correlating macroscopic photodetector performance with nanoscale mapping techniques. Grain boundary density is systematically tuned through crystallization control and linked to device responsivity.

Anomaly enforced gaplessness for background flux anomalies and symmetry fractionalization
Anomalous symmetries are known to strongly constrain the possible IR behavior along any renormalization group (RG) flow. Recently, the extension of the notion of symmetry in QFT has provided new types of anomalies with a corresponding new class of ...

Topological defects in low-energy string gravity [PDF]
Cosmologists are interested in topological defects as a possible source for the primordial density perturbations which seeded structure formation through gravitational instability.

Measuring Topological Field Theories: Lattice Models and Field-Theoretic Description
Recent years have witnessed a surge of interest in performing measurements within topological phases of matter, e.g., symmetry-protected topological (SPT) phases and topological orders.

Multimodal Haptic Perception Through Synergistic Nanocomposite Sensor Arrays
Multi‐modal fingertip haptics are advanced through a bioinspired &vertical‐via' electronic skin architecture. A confined PDMS/MWCNT/NiNP nanocomposite, sitting at the percolation threshold, enables tactile, thermal, and magnetic sensing. A unique via‐density gradient and dedicated &Un‐Touch' reference nodes provide robust spatial resolution and signal ...

Topological field theories on manifolds with Wu structures
We construct invertible field theories generalizing abelian prequantum spin Chern–Simons theory to manifolds of dimension [Formula: see text] endowed with a Wu structure of degree [Formula: see text].
