Torque stress for generators connected to medium voltage distribution systems

2013 IEEE International Conference on Industrial Technology (ICIT), 2013
The effects of grid faults on large generators in a power system have been widely investigated starting from the '70s, and proper remedial actions are today known. The diffusion of distributed generation with the deployment of small and medium-size generators connected to the MV distribution network opens new problems not yet investigated into details.

Distributed torque estimation toward low-latency variable stiffness control for gear-driven torque sensorless humanoid

2017 IEEE/RSJ International Conference on Intelligent Robots and Systems (IROS), 2017
This paper explains low-latency joint torque feedback control based on torque estimation on each joint for gear-driven humanoid robots with harmonic drives. Force control of gear-driven robots has an advantage in its fully variable stiffness in comparison with elastic robots.
