Torque measurement

1996
There are many ways of measuring torque in electrical machines. Recent advances in transducer technologies means that measurement of torque will be more precise and easy. Traditionally, slip rings have been used for telemetering for measurement on meters and microcomputer systems.

Torque measurement system design

2008 IEEE International Conference on Automation, Quality and Testing, Robotics, 2008
In this paper we present the electronic circuits design used in a torque measurement system. The torque measurement system has two parts: a rotating one (the transmitter) and a fixed one (the receiver). The information about torque, fetched from a strain gage bridge is processed and sent to a receiver by a rotating transformer. The rotating transformer

Measurement of edgewise torque force in vitro

American Journal of Orthodontics, 1977
The construction of a model for the measurement of palatal root torque is described. It was demonstrated that: 1. Halfway between the apex of a tooth and the arch wire the force was double that which was delivered at the apex. 2. The lateral incisors were subjected to appreciably more force than the central incisors. 3.

Magneto-torque measurement on V6O13

Materials Research Bulletin, 1976
Abstract Magnetic anisotropy of V6O13 was investigated by the magneto-torque and the magnetic susceptibility measurement in the temperature range from 4 to 300 K. It has been clarified that V6O13 is antiferromagnetic below about 50 K and the direction of antiferromagnetic spin is parallel to the b -axis.

A photoelectric instrument for measuring torques

Measurement Techniques, 1959
Tests have shown that the calibration stays unchanged (within the error of measurement) for up to a year; the error of measurement under field conditions is 3–4%, but can be reduced to 2% under laboratory conditions; the unit works well at temperatures from −20 to +35°C.

SELF-TORQUE: MEASUREMENT AND INTERPRETATION
