Correlations between total cross sections and slopes
We investigate correlations between the total cross section and the slope of the elastic differential cross section for proton-proton and antiproton-proton scattering at the highest energies.

Total and Double Differential Scattering Cross-Section Measurements of Isotropic Graphite [PDF]
The total and double differential scattering cross sections (DDSCS) of isotropic graphite have been measured in the J-PARC Materials and Life Science Experimental Facility using five samples with different porosities and grain sizes.

Pancreatic sensory neurons innervating healthy and PDAC tissue were retrogradely labeled and profiled by single‐cell RNA sequencing. Tumor‐associated innervation showed a dominant neurofilament‐positive subtype, altered mitochondrial gene signatures, and reduced non‐peptidergic neurons.

Possibility of linearly rising total cross sections in ln s
The increase of the pp and K/sup +/p total cross sections has been discovered at CERN and Serpukhov respectively. As for pi /sup +or-/p scattering, no trace of the growth of total cross sections is yet observed.

Measurement of total cross sections on hydrogen and deuterium [PDF]
Total cross sections of {pi}{sup {+-}}, K{sup {+-}}, p and {bar p} on hydrogen and deuterium are to be measured at about eight energies between 20 GeV and the maximum available energy.

CCDC80 suppresses high‐grade serous ovarian cancer migration via negative regulation of B7‐H3
PAX8 is a lineage‐specific master regulator of transcription in high‐grade serous ovarian cancer (HGSC) progression. We show for the first time that PAX8 facilitates proliferation and metastasis by repressing the cell autonomous tumor suppressor CCDC80 and inducing B7‐H3 expression.

Total cross sections for positron and electron scattering from pyrimidine
In this paper we report original measurements of total cross sections for positron scattering from the important biomolecule pyrimidine. The energy range of these measurements was 0.3-45 eV, while the energy resolution was ∼260 meV.

We analyze cisplatin–DNA adducts (CDAs) and double‐strand breaks (DSBs) in a cell‐cycle‐dependent manner. We find that CDAs form similarly across all cell cycle phases. DSBs arise only in S‐phase. CDAs might not directly impair DSB repair, but S‐phase DSB lesions evolve in the presence of CDAs and disrupt repair in G2, also causing radiosensitization ...

Total cross-sections and forward nuclear amplitudes
The most recent data on hadron-hadron total cross-sections and forward nuclear amplitudes are reviewed. The experiments which, in this field, are either under way or in preparation, are discussed. (22 refs)

The elastic (σel), inelastic (σinel), and total (σtot) cross sections are related through the diσerential elastic cross section using the optical theorem. ATLAS and TOTEM have used forward detectors to measure the elastic scattering at √s = 8 TeV.
