The effect of ultrasound wave path estimation to defect characterization capability in half-skip total focusing method

open access: yesResearch and Review Journal of Nondestructive Testing, 2023
The total focusing method (TFM) is a post-processing imaging technique applied on full matrix capture (FMC) ultrasonic inspection (UT) dataset. In TFM the ultrasonic wave energy is synthetically focused on every pixel in the image region of interest ...

Dexamethasone for Chemotherapy‐Induced Nausea and Vomiting Prevention in Pediatric Patients: International Consensus

open access: yesPediatric Blood &Cancer, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background An international Delphi panel of experts developed consensus statements to delineate the circumstances where the risks of dexamethasone as an antiemetic do and do not outweigh its benefits. Procedure Experts in supportive care of pediatric patients were invited to participate.

Report on identifying a protocol to elicit flowering in Brachiaria humidicola with photoperiod management [PDF]

open access: yes, 2020
Two Genotypes of Brachiaria humidicola (A and B) were planted on the grounds of CIAT headquarters in Palmira during 2018 – 2019, 10 lamps were placed in the lot to evaluate 6 different photoperiods (1 - 6) with Light in 2 different wavelength range (W.R.)

Real‐World Pediatric Blinatumomab Administration: Access to Outpatient Care Delivery and Impact of a Hospital‐Dispensed Model

open access: yesPediatric Blood &Cancer, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Blinatumomab has been shown to be highly effective for patients with pediatric B‐ALL and has recently become standard of care therapy. Due to its past use in the clinical trial setting, there is limited information available about real‐world administration.

Ultrasonic phased array total focusing method based on sparse deconvolution [PDF]

open access: yesProceedings of Meetings on Acoustics, 2018
Ultrasonic phased array total focusing method (TFM) has been widely used in the field of non-destructive testing (NDT) as an advances post-processing imaging algorithm. It shows great potential in defect detection and characterization. However, due to the small number of excitation elements and large amount of collecting data, its temporal resolution ...

Surface Imaging Using Total Focusing Method on Surface Waves for Non Destructive Testing

open access: yesNDT & E International, 2023
We demonstrate the effectiveness of total focusing methods (TFM) using Rayleigh waves for surface and subsurface nondestructive inspection of different metals. The relatively low velocity of Rayleigh waves leads to sub-100 μm resolution imaging, with a penetration depth approximately equal to its wavelength.

Clinical Insights Into Hypercalcemia of Malignancy in Childhood

open access: yesPediatric Blood &Cancer, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Hypercalcemia of malignancy (HCM) is a rare but life‐threatening metabolic emergency in children that occurs in less than 1% of pediatric cancer cases, with a reported incidence ranging from 0.4% to 1.0% across different studies. While it is observed in 10%–20% of adult malignancies, pediatric HCM remains relatively uncommon.

Ultrasonic Total Focusing Imaging Method of Multilayer Composite Structures Using the Root-Mean-Square (RMS) Velocity

open access: yesAdvances in Materials Science and Engineering, 2021
Multilayer composite structures have been widely used in industrial manufacturing, and nondestructive testing of these multilayer structures is to ensure their reliable quality and performance.

Stage 1 Round-Robin Report: On the Use of Total Focusing Method for Sizing Flaws in Assessing Probability of Detection

open access: yese-Journal of Nondestructive Testing, 2023
Reliability of non-destructive (NDT) procedures is usually assessed using probability of detection (POD). However, the reliability of the POD is rarely questioned. A POD usually produces a curve that relates the size of a defect to the likelihood that

Adaptive multiresolution schemes with local time stepping for two-dimensional degenerate reaction-diffusion systems

open access: yes, 2008
We present a fully adaptive multiresolution scheme for spatially two-dimensional, possibly degenerate reaction-diffusion systems, focusing on combustion models and models of pattern formation and chemotaxis in mathematical biology.
