PENGUKURAN TOTAL HARMONIC DISTORTION (THD) TERHADAP LAMPU HEMAT ENERGI (LHE) DAN LIGHT-EMITTING DIODE (LED)

open access: yesLektrokom : Jurnal Ilmiah Teknik Elektro, 2020
Abstract. Along with the rapid development of power electronics technology which is also useful for saving electrical energy. This technology is also used in lighting such as energy saving lamps (LHE) and light-emitting diode (LED). However, LHE and LED are non-linear loads that cause electrical power quality problems, namely producing voltage ...

Power Quality Improvement by Reduction of Total Harmonic Distortion (THD) using PWM Inverter

open access: yesInternational Journal of Innovative Technology and Exploring Engineering, 2019
In this paper, a PWM inverter is proposed for improvement of power quality i.e., reduction of total harmonic distortion (THD). The power quality problems reduce the lifetime and performance of equipments. The proposed system reduces the THD which is generated from the nonlinear loads.

Analysis Of 12- Level Cycloconverter To Minimize Thd (Total Harmonic Distortion) Level In 3-Phase Induction Motor

open access: yesTurkish Journal of Computer and Mathematics Education (TURCOMAT), 2021
These harmonics are higher than essential frequencies and cause Total Harmonics Distortion (THD) which increases the rms current and generates more warmth in the load. Numerous techniques are used to suppress the harmonics to limit the warmth in the load.

Total Harmonic Distortion (THD) analysis utilizing the FFT capabilities of modern digital storage oscilloscopes

open access: yes, 2022
This paper shows how to analyze Total Harmonic Distortion (THD) using the fast Fourier transformation (FFT) capability of low-cost digital sampling oscilloscopes. It was found that THD measurements using this method are accurate within less than a few percent of absolute error.

Simulation of passive filter design to reduce Total Harmonic Distortion (THD) in Energy-Saving Lamps (LHE) and Light Emitting Diodes (LED)

open access: yesIOP Conference Series: Earth and Environmental Science, 2021
Abstract This paper discusses the design of a passive filter system for Energy-Saving Lamps (LHE) and Light Emitting Diodes (LED) using the MATLAB Simulink software. This type of lamp is a type of non-linear load that produces harmonics of current and voltage. However, this harmonic problem can be reduced using passive filters.
