Abstract Purpose This study evaluates four different alignment techniques to assess total knee arthroplasty (TKA) balance. Methods A prospective cohort of 400 patients undergoing primary robotic‐assisted cruciate‐retaining TKA was analysed. The Velys TKA robotic system collects a balance curve that enables the surgeon to intraoperatively analyse the ...

Considerations for a touchscreen visual lifelog
In this paper we describe the design considerations for a touchscreen visual lifelog browser. Visual lifelogs are large collections of photographs which represent a person's experiences. Lifelogging devices, such as the wearable camera known as SenseCam, can record thousands of images per day.

SFK: Shape‐ and Function‐Grounded Keypoint Representation for Sequential Manipulation
ABSTRACT Sequential manipulation is the process by which robots perform multiple interdependent steps to accomplish composite tasks, demanding tight integration of perception, planning and execution. Existing methods incorporate explicit features such as category, semantics, 6D pose or affordance to enhance consistency, yet single‐feature ...

Abstract Alternate light sources (ALS) have been suggested to improve bruise visibility for medicolegal evaluations. Previous studies have recommended darkened conditions; however, this does not reflect real‐life autopsy settings, where multiple examinations are conducted simultaneously and turning off the lights is neither practical nor safe.

"The Spielberg Touchscreen" attempts to define a remarkable calibration of tensions between optical and tactile visuality—something we can feel as well as see (and hear). Spielberg designs impact and texture with as much concentration as multiplanar, deep-focus mise-en-scène.
