Evaluation of Implant Abutment-Soft Tissue Attachment Using 3D Tissue-Engineered Oral Mucosa: A Systematic Review. [PDF]

open access: yesInt J Dent
Objective Three‐dimensional (3D) tissue–engineered oral mucosa models offer a physiologically relevant platform to study interactions between implant abutment materials and peri‐implant soft tissues. While osseointegration is well‐characterized, soft tissue sealing, essential for preventing infection and maintaining implant stability, remains ...

Assessment of Cytokine Release against Oral Mucosal Cell Line Culture (TR146) Stimulated by Neutrophil Elastase Associated with Behcet’s Disease [PDF]

open access: yesInternational Journal of Dentistry, 2019
Aim. Cytokines and chemokines may be involved in the onset of oral ulcer in Behcet’s disease. The aim of our study is to assess the cytotoxic effects of proinflammatory cytokines and chemokines on reconstructed oral mucosal cell line (TR146) when treated with different concentrations of neutrophil elastase (NE). Objective.

Mouthfeel subqualities in wines: A current insight on sensory descriptors and physical–chemical markers

open access: yesComprehensive Reviews in Food Science and Food Safety, Volume 22, Issue 4, Page 3328-3365, July 2023., 2023
Abstract Astringency and more generally mouthfeel perception are relevant to the overall quality of the wine. However, their origin and description are still uncertain and are constantly updating. Additionally, the terminology related to mouthfeel properties is expansive and extremely diversified, characterized by common traditional terms as well as ...

Biofabrication of an Esophageal Tissue Construct from a Polymer Blend Using 3D Extrusion‐Based Printing

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, Volume 24, Issue 9, September 2022., 2022
An esophageal substitute 3D printed from a blend of natural and synthetic polymers shows excellent performance in mimicking the properties of the native organ, and exhibits no leaks when sutured to a native esophagus. It also allows cell invasion and slow degradation in vitro making it a promising solution for the repair of damaged esophagi.
