INAA applied to Tradescantia pallida plant study for environmental pollution monitoring

Czechoslovak Journal of Physics, 2003
In this study, INAA was applied to analyse T. pallida plant in order to establish an adequate protocol for its sampling and treatment and so that it can be used for further environmental biomonitoring. Concentrations of most elements obtained in leaves, stems and flowers plus peduncles separately were found to have the same magnitude.

Structural and conformational characterization of a stable anthocyanin from Tradescantia pallida.

Journal of Agricultural and Food Chemistry, 1995
Anthocyanins found in some plants of the Commelinaceae family have shown to be very stable compared to other commercially available natural pigments. One source of these stable anthocyanins is found in the plant Tradescantia pallida. Through the use of chemical hydrolysis, mass spectrometry, and 1 H NMR, the major anthocyanin from T.

Mutagenic Action of Sugarcane Vinasse in the Tradescantia Pallida Test System

Journal of Ecosystem & Ecography, 2014
The soil is a very complex and dynamic system and its contamination has become one of the main environmental concerns. Sugar-ethanol mills, for example, have a high hazard potential, mainly soil contamination, due to the production of different residues.
