Structural insights into an engineered feruloyl esterase with improved MHET degrading properties

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
A feruloyl esterase was engineered to mimic key features of MHETase, enhancing the degradation of PET oligomers. Structural and computational analysis reveal how a point mutation stabilizes the active site and reshapes the binding cleft, expading substrate scope.

Social Attention: Modeling Attention in Human Crowds

open access: yes, 2018
Robots that navigate through human crowds need to be able to plan safe, efficient, and human predictable trajectories. This is a particularly challenging problem as it requires the robot to predict future human trajectories within a crowd where everyone ...

Obstacle‐transformer: A trajectory prediction network based on surrounding trajectories

open access: yesIET Cyber-Systems and Robotics, 2022
Abstract Recurrent Neural Network, Long Short‐Term Memory, and Transformer have made great progress in predicting the trajectories of moving objects. Although the trajectory element with the surrounding scene features has been merged to improve performance, there still exist some problems to be solved.

Network divergence analysis identifies adaptive gene modules and two orthogonal vulnerability axes in pancreatic cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Tumors contain diverse cellular states whose behavior is shaped by context‐dependent gene coordination. By comparing gene–gene relationships across biological contexts, we identify adaptive transcriptional modules that reorganize into distinct vulnerability axes.

Geometry-Based Next Frame Prediction from Monocular Video

open access: yes, 2017
We consider the problem of next frame prediction from video input. A recurrent convolutional neural network is trained to predict depth from monocular video input, which, along with the current video image and the camera trajectory, can then be used to ...

Trajectory Prediction for ADAS

open access: yes, 2020
A novel pipeline is presented for unsupervised trajectory prediction. As part of this research, numerous techniques are investigated for trajectory prediction of dynamic obstacles from an egocentric perspective (driver’s per- spective). The algorithm takes images from a calibrated stereo camera as input or data from a laser scanner and outputs a heat ...
