Cis and trans activation of adenovirus IVa2gene transcription
The transcriptional control region of the adenovirus IVa2 promoter was analyzed by cloning this promoter in front of a gene coding for bacterial chloramphenicol acetyl transferase (CATase) and estimating levels of CATase and IVa2 promoter specific RNA synthesized after transfection.

Organ‐on‐Chip (OoC) technology enables the precise modeling of the blood‐brain barrier (BBB). This study presents a microfluidic device that mimics brain microvessels, integrating co‐culture with pericytes and astrocytes under pulsatile flow. Results show that perivascular cells modulate endothelial morphology, promoting lumen formation and barrier ...

This proof‐of‐concept study involves high‐throughput teratogenicity screening of compounds using XEn/EpiCs, a 3D stem cell‐based embryo model, within microwells. The term ‘morphotoxicity’ is introduced to complement traditional cytotoxicity assays through automated feature extraction and machine‐learning‐assisted classification of morphologies.

Optoelectronic Devices for In‐Sensor Computing
The raw data obtained directly from sensors in the noisy analogue domain is often unstructured, which lacks a predefined format or organization and does not conform to a specific data model. Optoelectronic devices for in‐sensor visual processing can integrate perception, memory, and processing functions in the same physical units, which can compress ...
