Individualized transcranial focused ultrasound stimulation improves cognitive impairment in Alzheimer's disease patients by enhancing the default mode network

open access: yesAlzheimer's &Dementia, Volume 21, Issue S3, December 2025.
Abstract Background Alzheimer's disease (AD) is a progressive neurodegenerative disorder characterized by cognitive decline, memory loss, and behavioral changes. Current treatment options are limited in their ability to halt or reverse disease progression, leading to a growing interest in non‐invasive neuromodulation techniques.

Restoration of Glymphatic Influx After Photothrombotic Stroke Using Low‐Intensity Focused Ultrasound

open access: yesCNS Neuroscience &Therapeutics, Volume 31, Issue 6, June 2025.
We examine immediate effect and 7‐day LIFU on CSF influx in stroke mice. LIFU rapidly increased CSF influx, peaking at 20–30 min post‐stimulation. Stroke reduced CSF influx, lowest at day 1‐3, with recovery by day 7. Daily contralesional LIFU restored CSF influx, suggesting stroke recovery benefits.

TRPC4/TRPC5 are critical for neuronal modulation by transcranial focused ultrasound in retrosplenial cortex in male mice

open access: yesNature Communications
Transcranial focused ultrasound (tFUS) enables non-invasive neuromodulation, yet its underlying molecular mechanisms remain largely elusive. Here, we show that transient receptor potential canonical 4 (TRPC4) and transient receptor potential canonical 5 (
