Genome-wide identification, comprehensive characterization of transcription factors, cis-regulatory elements, protein homology, and protein interaction network of DREB gene family in Solanum lycopersicum

open access: yesFrontiers in Plant Science, 2022
Tomato is a drought-sensitive crop which has high susceptibility to adverse climatic changes. Dehydration-responsive element-binding (DREB) are significant plant transcription factors that have a vital role in regulating plant abiotic stress tolerance by

OmicSDK-Transcriptomics: A Web Platform for Transcriptomics Data Analysis

open access: yes, 2023
Omics sciences, especially transcriptomics, have grown exponentially since the first human genome was sequenced in 2003. Different tools have been developed in the past years for the analysis of this kind of data, but many of them require specific programming knowledge to be used.

Direct Saliva Transcriptome Analysis [PDF]

open access: yesClinical Chemistry, 2011
BACKGROUND Current standard operating procedures for salivary transcriptomic analysis require low temperatures and lengthy mRNA isolation, which substantially hamper its use in the clinic. We developed a streamlined, ambient-temperature processing, stabilization, and storage protocol for clinical analysis of ...

Transcriptome analysis and pharmacogenomics.

open access: yesFolia Pharmacologica Japonica, 2000
Pharmacogenomics is defined as identification of loci which are involved in determining the responsiveness and distinguishing responders and non-responders to a given drug. Genome sequencing, transcriptome and proteome analysis are of particular significance in pharmacogenomics.

Analysis of Global Gene Expression in Maize (Zea mays) Vegetative and Reproductive Tissues That Differ in Accumulation of Starch and Sucrose

open access: yesPlants, 2022
Carbon allocation between vegetative and reproductive tissues impacts cereal grain production. Despite great agricultural importance, sink–source relationships have not been fully characterized at the early reproductive stages in maize. Here, we quantify

Transcriptome Analysis of Single Cells [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Visualized Experiments, 2011
Many gene expression analysis techniques rely on material isolated from heterogeneous populations of cells from tissue homogenates or cells in culture. In the case of the brain, regions such as the hippocampus contain a complex arrangement of different cell types, each with distinct mRNA profiles.

Quantitative Proteome and Transcriptome Dynamics Analysis Reveals Iron Deficiency Response Networks and Signature in Neuronal Cells

open access: yesMolecules, 2022
Iron and oxygen deficiencies are common features in pathophysiological conditions, such as ischemia, neurological diseases, and cancer. Cellular adaptive responses to such deficiencies include repression of mitochondrial respiration, promotion of ...

Transferrin receptor 1‐mediated iron uptake supports thermogenic activation in human cervical‐derived adipocytes

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
In this study, we found that human cervical‐derived adipocytes maintain intracellular iron level by regulating the expression of iron transport‐related proteins during adrenergic stimulation. Melanotransferrin is predicted to interact with transferrin receptor 1 based on in silico analysis.
