Magnetometer with miniature transducer and automatic transducer scanning apparatus [PDF]

open access: yes, 1974
Magnetometer is simple to operate and has fast response. Transducer is rugged and flat and can measure magnetic fields as close as 0.08 mm from any relatively flat surface. Magnetometer has active region of approximately 0.64 by 0.76 mm and is capable of

Recording head field measurement with a magnetoresistive transducer [PDF]

open access: yes, 1978
This paper describes the measurement of recording head fields with the help of a magnetoresistive transducer. Attention is payed to the computer program to simulate the transducer behaviour in inhomogeneous fields (with emphasis on the accuracy) and to ...

A Highly Sensitive and High-Resolution Resonant MEMS Electrostatic Field Microsensor Based on Electrostatic Stiffness Perturbation

open access: yesMicromachines, 2023
This paper proposes a highly sensitive and high-resolution resonant MEMS electrostatic field sensor based on electrostatic stiffness perturbation, which uses resonant frequency as an output signal to eliminate the feedthrough interference from the ...

A strategy for delivering high torsionality in longitudinal-torsional ultrasonic devices [PDF]

open access: yes, 2011
A composite longitudinal-torsional vibration mode has applications in ultrasonic motors, ultrasonic welding and ultrasonic drilling. There are two ways to obtain this vibration behaviour using a single transducer, namely (i) coupling of a longitudinal ...

TOMM20 as a driver of cancer aggressiveness via oxidative phosphorylation, maintenance of a reduced state, and resistance to apoptosis

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
TOMM20 increases cancer aggressiveness by maintaining a reduced state with increased NADH and NADPH levels, oxidative phosphorylation (OXPHOS), and apoptosis resistance while reducing reactive oxygen species (ROS) levels. Conversely, CRISPR‐Cas9 knockdown of TOMM20 alters these cancer‐aggressive traits.

Transversely Excited Multipass Photoacoustic Cell Using Electromechanical Film as Microphone

open access: yesSensors, 2010
A novel multipass photoacoustic cell with five stacked electromechanical films as a microphone has been constructed, tested and characterized. The photoacoustic cell is an open rectangular structure with two steel plates facing each other.

Targeting the MDM2‐MDM4 interaction interface reveals an otherwise therapeutically active wild‐type p53 in colorectal cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This study investigates an alternative approach to reactivating the oncosuppressor p53 in cancer. A short peptide targeting the association of the two p53 inhibitors, MDM2 and MDM4, induces an otherwise therapeutically active p53 with unique features that promote cell death and potentially reduce toxicity towards proliferating nontumor cells.
