Transfer of antibiotic resistance in Staphylococcus aureus [PDF]
Staphylococcus aureus is a serious human pathogen with remarkable adaptive powers. Antibiotic-resistant clones rapidly emerge mainly by acquisition of antibiotic-resistance genes from other S. aureus strains or even from other genera.

A new relation between sentences is studied, called transducibility. Transducibility is based on an analysis of a converse of \textit{S. Feferman}'s theorem: if a sentence is interpretable over a theory \(U,\) it is an inconsistency statement for \(U\) over \(U\) [Fundam. Math. 49, 35--92 (1960; Zbl 0095.24301)].

Surface-modified CMOS biosensors
Biosensors translate biological events into electronic signals that quantify biological processes. They are increasingly used in in vitro diagnostics applications that leverage their ability to process small sample volumes.

High-dimensional sequence transduction [PDF]
We investigate the problem of transforming an input sequence into a high-dimensional output sequence in order to transcribe polyphonic audio music into symbolic notation. We introduce a probabilistic model based on a recurrent neural network that is able

Reciprocal control of viral infection and phosphoinositide dynamics
Phosphoinositides, although scarce, regulate key cellular processes, including membrane dynamics and signaling. Viruses exploit these lipids to support their entry, replication, assembly, and egress. The central role of phosphoinositides in infection highlights phosphoinositide metabolism as a promising antiviral target.

Background Thioredoxin-interacting protein (TXNIP) plays a role in regulating endoplasmic reticulum (ER) and oxidative stress, which disrupt glucose homeostasis in diabetes. However, the impact of TXNIP deficiency on the differentiation and functionality

Protein Transduction Method for Cerebrovascular Disorders [PDF]
Many studies have shown that a motif of 11 consecutive arginines (11R) is one of the most effective protein transduction domains (PTD) for introducing proteins into the cell membrane.

Fluorescent probes allow dynamic visualization of phosphoinositides in living cells (left), whereas mass spectrometry provides high‐sensitivity, isomer‐resolved quantitation (right). Their synergistic use captures complementary aspects of lipid signaling. This review illustrates how these approaches reveal the spatiotemporal regulation and quantitative
