A Novel Strategy for Improving the Aeromagnetic Compensation Performance of Helicopters

open access: yesSensors, 2018
An aeromagnetic survey is an important method in magnetic anomaly detection and geophysical prospecting. The magnetic field is typically measured by optically pumped magnetometers (OPM) installed on the aircraft.

Multiple ETS family transcription factors bind mutant p53 via distinct interaction regions

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Mutant p53 gain‐of‐function is thought to be mediated by interaction with other transcription factors. We identify multiple ETS transcription factors that can bind mutant p53 and found that this interaction can be promoted by a PXXPP motif. ETS proteins that strongly bound mutant p53 were upregulated in ovarian cancer compared to ETS proteins that ...

Possible evidence of extended objects inside the proton

open access: yes, 2003
Recent experimental determinations of the Nachtmann moments of the inelastic structure function of the proton F2p(x, Q**2), obtained at Jefferson Lab, are analyzed for values of the squared four-momentum transfer Q**2 ranging from ~ 0.1 to ~ 2 (GeV/c)**2.

An upstream open reading frame regulates expression of the mitochondrial protein Slm35 and mitophagy flux

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
This study reveals how the mitochondrial protein Slm35 is regulated in Saccharomyces cerevisiae. The authors identify stress‐responsive DNA elements and two upstream open reading frames (uORFs) in the 5′ untranslated region of SLM35. One uORF restricts translation, and its mutation increases Slm35 protein levels and mitophagy.

From the help desk: Transfer functions [PDF]

open access: yes
The question often arises as to whether one can estimate a transfer function model using Stata. While Stata does not currently have a convenience command for doing so, this article will demonstrate that estimating such a model can be accomplished quite ...

Dual Resonance Model Solves the Yang-Baxter Equation

open access: yes, 1997
The duality of dual resonance models is shown to imply that the four point string correlation function solves the Yang-Baxter equation. A reduction of transfer matrices to $A_l$ symmetry is described by a restriction of the KP $\tau$ function to Toda ...

In situ molecular organization and heterogeneity of the Legionella Dot/Icm T4SS

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
We present a nearly complete in situ model of the Legionella Dot/Icm type IV secretion system, revealing its central secretion channel and identifying new components. Using cryo‐electron tomography with AI‐based modeling, our work highlights the structure, variability, and mechanism of this complex nanomachine, advancing understanding of bacterial ...

Control ofa ThermoelectricCooling Module by Metaheuristic Optimization Algorithms

open access: yesHavacılık ve Uzay Teknolojileri Dergisi
In this study, the proportional-integral-derivative (PID) controller of a sample thermoelectric cooler(TEC)system model is optimized using four different metaheuristic optimization algorithms.

Analysis of space vehicle structures using the transfer-function concept [PDF]

open access: yes, 1969
Analysis of large complex systems is accomplished by dividing it into suitable subsystems and determining the individual dynamical and vibrational responses.
