Abstract INTRODUCTION Allostatic load (AL), an index of cumulative physiological dysregulation from chronic stress, may contribute to Alzheimer's disease (AD) pathophysiology by accelerating brain aging. Higher AL has been associated with AD‐related biomarkers, suggesting a mechanistic connection.
