Tensorial stress-plastic strain fields in α-ω Zr mixture, transformation kinetics, and friction in diamond anvil cell

open access: yes, 2022
Various phenomena (phase transformations, chemical reactions, and friction) under high pressures in diamond anvil cell are strongly affected by fields of all components of stress and plastic strain tensors. However, they could not be measured.

BAINITE : OVERALL TRANSFORMATION KINETICS

open access: yes, 1982
New experimental results on the overall transformation kinetics of the bainite reaction (in three different steels) are interpreted in terms of recent work on the transformation mechanism of bainite.

Dilatometric Analysis and Kinetics Research of Martensitic Transformation under a Temperature Gradient and Stress

open access: yes, 2021
Based on material constitutive models and the classic Koistinen–Marburger (KM) kinetics model, a new dilatometric analysis model was developed to extract the kinetics curve of martensitic transformation under a temperature gradient and stress from ...

Emapalumab for Immune Effector Cell‐Associated Hemophagocytic Lymphohistiocytosis‐Like Syndrome Following CD19‐Directed CAR‐T in Two Patients With B‐ALL: Clinical and Biomarker Correlates

open access: yesPediatric Blood &Cancer, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Immune effector cell‐associated hemophagocytic lymphohistiocytosis‐like syndrome (IEC‐HS) is a life‐threatening hyperinflammatory toxicity distinct from cytokine release syndrome (CRS) and neurotoxicity following chimeric antigen receptor T‐cell (CAR‐T) therapy. In a single‐institution retrospective cohort of pediatric and young adult patients

The (Glg)ABCs of cyanobacteria: modelling of glycogen synthesis and functional divergence of glycogen synthases in Synechocystis sp. PCC 6803

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
We reconstituted Synechocystis glycogen synthesis in vitro from purified enzymes and showed that two GlgA isoenzymes produce glycogen with different architectures: GlgA1 yields denser, highly branched glycogen, whereas GlgA2 synthesizes longer, less‐branched chains.

Kinetic models of multiple-stage martensite transformation and subsequent isothermal bainite formation excluding ε-carbide precipitation in intercritical quenching and partitioning steels

open access: yesMaterials & Design, 2019
The kinetic models of multiple-stage martensite transformation and subsequent isothermal bainite formation were investigated in intercritical quenching and partitioning steels. The modified K-M model that considering instantaneous kinetic characteristics

Calpain small subunit homodimerization is robust and calcium‐independent

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Calpains dimerize via penta‐EF‐hand (PEF) domains. Using single‐molecule force spectroscopy, we measured the strength and kinetics of PEF–PEF homodimer binding. The interaction is robust, shows a transient conformational step before dissociation, and remains largely insensitive to Ca2+.

pH‐mediated activation of the lysosomal arginine sensor SLC38A9

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Cells monitor nutrient levels via the lysosomal transporter SLC38A9 to activate the mechanistic target of rapamycin complex 1 (mTORC1). This study reveals that SLC38A9 function is regulated by pH. We identified histidine 544 as a critical pH sensor that undergoes conformational changes to control amino acid efflux from lysosomes; therefore, it ...
