ABSTRACT Bisphenol A (BPA) is a widely used industrial chemical found in polycarbonate plastics and epoxy resins and is recognized for its endocrine‐disrupting properties. Human exposure is common due to its presence in food packaging and everyday products. As BPA use has been restricted, structurally similar compounds such as BPS, BPB, BPAF, and BADGE

Transgenerational plasticity research: Challenges and opportunities
Abstract Transgenerational plasticity (TGP) is a type of non‐genetic inheritance whereby one generation's environment affects a subsequent generation's phenotype. It can influence the persistence of organisms in stressful climatic conditions through allowing rapid ...

Developmental and Behavioral Effects of Arsenobetaine in Zebrafish (Danio rerio)
ABSTRACT Arsenobetaine (AsB) is a prevalent organoarsenical in aquatic environments and is generally regarded as nontoxic. Despite its widespread occurrence, the developmental and neurobehavioral toxicity of AsB has not been systematically investigated.

Phenotypic but no genetic adaptation in zooplankton 24 years after an abrupt +10°C climate change
The climate is currently warming fast, threatening biodiversity all over the globe. Populations often adapt rapidly to environmental change, but for climate warming very little evidence is available.

This review systematically compares the size‐dependent toxicity of microplastics and nanoplastics in the intestine, liver, kidney, lung, and brain. Particle size determines bioavailability, barrier penetration, and injury mechanisms. Because of their small size and high surface reactivity, NPs readily cross the intestinal epithelium and blood–brain ...

Phenotypic effects of salt and heat stress over three generations in Arabidopsis thaliana. [PDF]
Current and predicted environmental change will force many organisms to adapt to novel conditions, especially sessile organisms such as plants. It is therefore important to better understand how plants react to environmental stress and to what extent ...

Utilizing network toxicology, molecular docking, and dynamic simulations to investigate the potential reproductive toxicity of bisphenol S (BPS). ABSTRACT The aim of this study was to investigate the potential reproductive toxicity of bisphenol S (BPS) and the related molecular mechanisms through a network toxicology approach.

Take flight: predation risk induces wing polyphenism and dispersal in the aphid Myzus persicae
Predator risk above a critical density induces winged morphs in Myzus persicae, promoting dispersal and reducing predation compared with wingless aphids. This density‐dependent phenotypic plasticity enhances survival but may compromise biological control by facilitating aphid dispersal.

Nanomaterials' Multigenerational Effects by Single and Joint Exposure in Non‐mammalian Models
ABSTRACT Nanotoxicology has mainly focused on single‐generation studies, leaving multigenerational toxicity underexplored. Having animal welfare recently gained importance, we aimed to provide the state‐of‐the‐art of knowledge about multigenerational effects in non‐mammalian models in the case of nanomaterials (NM) single and joint exposure to other ...

ABSTRACT Bisphenol A (BPA), a common industrial chemical used in plastics and consumer products, is increasingly detected in aquatic environments, raising serious concerns about its potential ecological impacts. This study evaluated the sublethal and acute toxic effects of BPA on the freshwater planarian Girardia tigrina, a recognized model for ...
