Abstract Neuroendocrine tumours (NETs) are wellâdifferentiated epithelial neuroendocrine neoplasms that frequently develop in the small intestine, pancreas, and lungs. NETs originate from neuroendocrine cells specialized in hormone secretion implicated in a number of physiological processes.
