Somatic mutational landscape in von Hippel–Lindau familial hemangioblastoma

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
The causes of central nervous system (CNS) hemangioblastoma in Von Hippel–Lindau (vHL) disease are unclear. We used Whole Exome Sequencing (WES) on familial hemangioblastoma to investigate events that underlie tumor development. Our findings suggest that VHL loss creates a permissive environment for tumor formation, while additional alterations ...

Establishment of a humanized patient‐derived xenograft mouse model of high‐grade serous ovarian cancer for preclinical evaluation of combination immunotherapy

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
We have established a humanized orthotopic patient‐derived xenograft (Hu‐oPDX) mouse model of high‐grade serous ovarian cancer (HGSOC) that recapitulates human tumor–immune interactions. Using combined anti‐PD‐L1/anti‐CD73 immunotherapy, we demonstrate the model's improved biological relevance and enhanced translational value for preclinical ...

Deciphering transcriptional plasticity in pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma reveals alterations in sensory neuron innervation

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Pancreatic sensory neurons innervating healthy and PDAC tissue were retrogradely labeled and profiled by single‐cell RNA sequencing. Tumor‐associated innervation showed a dominant neurofilament‐positive subtype, altered mitochondrial gene signatures, and reduced non‐peptidergic neurons.

Study of photocapacitor transient response of MAPbI3 perovskite-based solar cell devices

open access: yesJournal of Applied Science and Engineering
Perovskite material ( MAPbI3 ) solar cells were used because of their capability to respond to light. The transient response characteristics of MAPbI3 perovskite-based solar cell devices with and without SnO2 layer were investigated in this paper.

Dynamic analysis using finite element method for a nonlinear spring-supported disk: Technique to reduce second-order distortion due to diaphragm shape

open access: yesMechanical Engineering Journal, 2017
This research aims to reduce the second-order distortion due to diaphragm vibration. The quadratic term of the restoring force of nonlinear springs varies in the pulling and compression directions.

Transients and multiperiodic responses: a hierarchy of material bits

open access: yesNew Journal of Physics
Abstract When cyclically driven, certain disordered materials exhibit transient and multiperiodic responses that are difficult to reproduce in synthetic materials. Here, we show that elementary multiperiodic elements with period T  = 2 — togglerons—can serve as building ...

Distinguishing cells by their first-order transient motion response under an optically induced dielectrophoretic force field

open access: yes, 2013
This letter reports our characterization of the transient motion of cells under an optically induced dielectrophoresis (ODEP) force field. Different types of human cells repeatably undergo a first-order transient motion response when subjected to a ...

Transient simulation of complex electronic circuits and systems operating at ultra high frequencies [PDF]

open access: yes, 2005
The electronics industry worldwide faces increasingly difficult challenges in a bid to produce ultra-fast, reliable and inexpensive electronic devices. Electronic manufacturers rely on the Electronic Design Automation (EDA) industry to produce consistent

CD47 promotes mitogen‐activated protein kinase and epithelial‐to‐mesenchymal transition molecular programs to drive prometastatic phenotypes in non‐small cell lung cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Beyond its role in immune evasion, this study identified that CD47 drives tumor‐intrinsic signaling in non‐small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). Transcriptomic profiling and functional studies revealed that CD47 regulates cell adhesion, migration, and metastasis through an ERK–EMT signaling axis.

Fuzzy Logic-Based Adaptive Droop Control Designed with Feasible Range of Droop Coefficients for Enhanced Power Delivery in Microgrids

open access: yesEngineering Proceedings
Power electronic converter-based microgrids generally suffer from poor power delivery/handling capability during sudden load changes, especially during islanded operations. This is due to the lack of transient energy support to compensate for sudden load
