Biomolecular condensates formed by fused in sarcoma (FUS) are dissolved by high ATP concentrations yet persist in cells. Using a reconstituted system, we demonstrate that valosin‐containing protein (VCP), an AAA+ ATPase, counteracts ATP‐driven dissolution of FUS condensates through its D2 ATPase activity.

Hyperosmotic stress induces PARP1‐mediated HPF1‐dependent mono(ADP‐ribosyl)ation
Sorbitol‐induced hyperosmotic stress rapidly induces reversible mono(ADP‐ribosyl)ation (MARylation) on PARP1 without the signs of genotoxic signaling. We show that PARP1 autoMARylation is HPF1 dependent and forms hydroxylamine‐resistant O‐glycosidic linkages.

Transient stability assessment using artificial neural networks
Online transient stability assessment (TSA) of a power system is not yet feasible due to the intensive computation involved. Artificial neural networks (ANN) have been proposed as one of the approaches to this problem because of their ability to quickly map nonlinear relationships between the input data and the output.

Embryo‐like structures (stembryos) are an innovative tool, but they are hindered by experimental variability and limited developmental potential. DNA methylation is crucial for mammalian development, but its status in stembryo models is poorly characterized.

Ascidian Ciona larvae initially show strong clockwise tail twisting, which is largely corrected during development. However, a small residual twist remains. This study shows that organized helical myofibrils in tail muscles mechanically stabilize this residual asymmetry, preventing complete restoration of bilateral symmetry and revealing how embryos ...

Machine Learning for Online Transient Stability Assessment
Machine learning (ML) offers a computationally tractable alternative to time-domain simulation for online transient stability assessment (TSA), yet inconsistent evaluation practice limits reproducibility and cross-study comparison.

CT10 regulator of kinase (CRK) and CRK‐Like (CRKL) are signaling adaptors driving cell adhesion, motility, differentiation, and proliferation. SH2‐domain containing (SH) proteins are enriched in YXXP motifs which when phosphorylated create preferred binding sites for CRK family SH2 domains.

Multi-indicator inference scheme for fuzzy assessment of power system transient stability [PDF]
A multi-indicator inference scheme is proposed in this paper to achieve an intuitive assessment of post-fault transient stability of power systems. The proposed scheme uses the fuzzy inference technique to classify the stability level as “safe,” “low ...
