An Improved Power System Transient Stability Prediction Model Based on mRMR Feature Selection and WTA Ensemble Learning

open access: yesApplied Sciences, 2020
Fast online transient stability assessment (TSA) is very important to maintain the stable operation of power systems. However, the existing transient stability assessment methods suffer the drawbacks of unsatisfactory prediction accuracy, difficult ...

Support Vector Machine for Transient Stability Assessment: A Review

open access: yes2024 29th International Conference on Automation and Computing (ICAC)
Accurate transient stability assessment is a crucial prerequisite for proper power system operation and planning with various operational constraints. Transient stability assessment of modern power systems is becoming very challenging due to rising uncertainty and continuous integration of renewable energy generation. The stringent requirements of very

Transient stability index for online stability assessment and contingency evaluation

open access: yesInternational Journal of Electrical Power & Energy Systems, 1982
Abstract An online methodology is proposed for assessing the robustness of a power system from the point of view of transient stability, and a scalar expression, the transient stability index, is accordingly derived. The reliability and sensitivity of this index are tested by means of simulations for a number of power system cases. The index is shown

An epithelial GPR35 isoform supports tumor‐associated transcriptional and metabolic phenotypes

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
GPR35 generates two functionally distinct isoforms with previously unresolved roles. GPR35‐short mediates immune‐cell chemotaxis, while GPR35‐long is enriched in colorectal cancer epithelium, where it supports increased metabolism, proliferation, and tumor‐associated transcriptional programs.

Structure‐forward targeting of claudins with synthetic binders

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Claudins form the paracellular barriers between epithelial and endothelial tissues at tight junctions and are targets for molecular binders with the goal of modulating barrier permeability. Claudin‐binding molecules are relevant in drug delivery or in altering claudin interactions with disease‐causing proteins.

Tumour–host interactions in Drosophila: mechanisms in the tumour micro‐ and macroenvironment

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This review examines how tumour–host crosstalk takes place at multiple levels of biological organisation, from local cell competition and immune crosstalk to organism‐wide metabolic and physiological collapse. Here, we integrate findings from Drosophila melanogaster studies that reveal conserved mechanisms through which tumours hijack host systems to ...
