Thermopower measurements on pentacene transistors [PDF]

open access: yes, 2006
We present the first thermoelectric measurements on pentacene field effect transistors. We report high values of the Seebeck coefficient at room temperature between 240 and 500 micro V/K depending on the dielectric surface treatment.

Ferritin Single-Electron Transistor

open access: yesThe Journal of Physical Chemistry B
We report on the fabrication of a single-electron transistor based on ferritin using wide self-aligned nanogap devices. A local gate below the gap area enables three-terminal electrical measurements, showing the Coulomb blockade in good agreement with the single-electron tunneling theory.

Bio‐Inspired Molecular Events in Poly(Ionic Liquids)

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Originating from dipolar and polar inter‐ and intra‐chain interactions of the building blocks, the topologies and morphologies of poly(ionic liquids) (PIL) govern their nano‐ and micro‐processibility. Modulating the interactions of cation‐anion pairs with aliphatic dipolar components enables the tunability of properties, facilitated by “bottom‐up ...

Nanoporous Layer Integration for the Fabrication of ISFET and Related Transistor-Based Biosensors

open access: yesChemosensors
More and more chemosensors and biosensors are turning to electronic transistors, as they are ideal transducers, precise in current response, miniaturized in size and capable of providing sub-picomolar detection limits.

High On/Off Ratios in Bilayer Graphene Field Effect Transistors Realized by Surface Dopants

open access: yes, 2011
The unique property of bilayer graphene to show a band gap tunable by external electrical fields enables a variety of different device concepts with novel functionalities for electronic, optoelectronic and sensor applications.

Experimental and simulation study of 1D silicon nanowire transistors using heavily doped channels [PDF]

open access: yes, 2017
The experimental results from 8 nm diameter silicon nanowire junctionless field effect transistors with gate lengths of 150 nm are presented that demonstrate on-currents up to 1.15 mA/m for 1.0 V and 2.52 mA/m for 1.8 V gate overdrive with an off-current

Cold electron Josephson transistor [PDF]

open access: yesApplied Physics Letters, 2004
A superconductor-normal metal-superconductor mesoscopic Josephson junction has been realized in which the critical current is tuned through normal current injection using a symmetric electron cooler directly connected to the weak link. Both enhancement of the critical current by more than a factor of two, and supercurrent suppression have been achieved

Integration of Low‐Voltage Nanoscale MoS2 Memristors on CMOS Microchips

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
This article presents the first monolithic integration of nanoscale MoS2‐based memristors into the back‐end‐of‐line of foundry‐fabricated CMOS microchips in a one‐transistor‐one‐resistor (1T1R) architecture. The MoS2‐based 1T1R cells exhibit forming‐free, nonvolatile resistive switching with ultra‐low operating voltages, low cycle‐to‐cycle variability ...
