Verschlimmbesserung: Correcting the corrections in translations of Kant

A novel translation system for circular external fixation to correct translational bony deformities
Injury, 2021Translational deformities are common complications of conservatively managed bone fractures and some surgically managed fractures with unstable patterns. Realigning the bones can be difficult when soft tissue, scars and calluses form. These deformities can be easily corrected with hexapodalic-based external fixators, but these fixators are not widely ...

Neural spelling correction: translating incorrect sentences to correct sentences for multimedia
Multimedia Tools and Applications, 2020The aim of a spelling correction task is to detect spelling errors and automatically correct them. In this paper we aim to perform the Korean spelling correction task from a machine translation perspective, allowing it to overcome the limitations of cost, time and data. Based on a sequence to sequence model, the model aligns its source sentence with an

On the Correctness of Semantic-Syntax-Directed Translations
Journal of the ACM, 1980The correctness of semantic-syntax-directed translators (SSDTs) is examined. SSDTs are a generalization of syntax-directed translators in which semantic information is employed to partially direct the translator. Sufficient conditions for an SSDT to be “semantic-preserving,” or “correct,” are presented.

Terminology Translation Error Identification and Correction
2017Statistical machine translation (SMT) system requires homogeneous training data in order to get domain-sensitive terminology translations. If the data is multi-domain mixed, it is difficult for SMT system to learn translation probability of context-sensitive terminology. However, terminology translation is important for SMT.

The Corrective Value of Repeated Translations
The School Review, 1929It is the practice of many teachers of foreign languages to recommend to their students that they go over the assigned translation more than once. The first translation of a passage permits the student to become familiar with new words and phrases.
