2-{4-[(1,3-Benzodioxol-5-yl)methyl]piperazin-1-yl}pyrimidine

open access: yesActa Crystallographica Section E, 2013
In the title compound, C16H18N4O2, known also as peribedil, the dihedral angle between the mean planes of the pyrimidine and benzene rings is 56.5 (8)°. The 1,3-dioxole fragment adopts an envelope conformation with the methylene C atom forming

Establishment of a humanized patient‐derived xenograft mouse model of high‐grade serous ovarian cancer for preclinical evaluation of combination immunotherapy

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
We have established a humanized orthotopic patient‐derived xenograft (Hu‐oPDX) mouse model of high‐grade serous ovarian cancer (HGSOC) that recapitulates human tumor–immune interactions. Using combined anti‐PD‐L1/anti‐CD73 immunotherapy, we demonstrate the model's improved biological relevance and enhanced translational value for preclinical ...

A new class of finite translation planes obtained from the exceptional near-fields

open access: yes, 1971
It is the purpose of this paper to construct some new finite translation planes from the exceptional (irregular) near-fields, described by Dickson and Zassenhaus.

Some sporadic translation planes of order $11^2$ [PDF]

open access: yes, 2009
In \cite{PK}, the authors constructed a translation plane $\Pi$ of order $11^2$ arising from replacement of a sporadic chain $F'$ of reguli in a regular spread $F$ of $PG(3,11)$. They also showed that two more non isomorphic translation planes, called  $\

Scattered linear sets in a finite projective line and translation planes

open access: yes, 2022
Lunardon and Polverino construct a translation plane starting from a scattered linear set of pseudoregulus type in $\mathrm{PG}(1,q^t)$. In this paper a similar construction of a translation plane $\mathcal A_f$ obtained from any scattered linearized ...

Dual quaternion representation of geometrical motion in 3D space

open access: yesDiscrete and Continuous Models and Applied Computational Science
\emph {Background} In a previous article we discussed the use of dual quaternions for modeling points, lines and planes and solving standard geometric problems.

CD47 promotes mitogen‐activated protein kinase and epithelial‐to‐mesenchymal transition molecular programs to drive prometastatic phenotypes in non‐small cell lung cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Beyond its role in immune evasion, this study identified that CD47 drives tumor‐intrinsic signaling in non‐small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). Transcriptomic profiling and functional studies revealed that CD47 regulates cell adhesion, migration, and metastasis through an ERK–EMT signaling axis.

Laminectomy without instrumentation for surgical treatment of metastatic spinal cord compression

open access: yesColuna/Columna, 2014
OBJECTIVE: To analyze the development of mechanical complications as a result of spinal decompression or cauda equina in patients with metastatic tumors of the spine via laminectomy or laminoartrectomy without fixation.

Adaptor protein CIN85 potentiates the motility of osteosarcoma cells via the Akt/mTOR and MMP2‐COL3A1 axis

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
CIN85 is highly expressed in osteosarcoma, particularly in metastatic lesions. Its overexpression increases cell migration and Matrigel invasion, while silencing CIN85 suppresses these behaviors. Transcriptome analysis shows that CIN85 regulates MMP2, COL3A1, and Akt/mTOR signaling. Targeting these pathways reverses CIN85‐induced motility, highlighting

Orthogonal Spreads and Translation Planes

open access: yes, 1996
There have been a number of striking new results concerning translation planes of characteristic 2, obtained using orthogonal and symplectic spreads. The impetus for this came from coding theory. This paper surveys the geometric advances, while providing
