Linking neurogenesis, oligodendrogenesis, and myelination defects to neurodevelopmental disruption in primary mitochondrial disorders

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Mitochondrial remodeling shapes neural and glial lineage progression by matching metabolic supply with demand. Elevated OXPHOS supports differentiation and myelin formation, while myelin compaction lowers mitochondrial dependence, revealing mitochondria as key drivers of developmental energy adaptation.

Exploiting metabolic adaptations to overcome dabrafenib treatment resistance in melanoma cells

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
We show that dabrafenib‐resistant melanoma cells undergo mitochondrial remodeling, leading to elevated respiration and ROS production balanced by stronger antioxidant defenses. This altered redox state promotes survival despite mitochondrial damage but renders resistant cells highly vulnerable to ROS‐inducing compounds such as PEITC, highlighting redox

A Preliminary Study on the Principle of Linear Effect Scaling Laws for Laser Atmospheric Transmission

open access: yesPhotonics
Numerical simulations were performed to rapidly predict and evaluate laser beam expansion caused by linear atmospheric transmission effects, such as turbulence and jitter, thereby enhancing the accuracy of the scaling law.

Network reinforcement requirements for Scotland and the rest of the UK (RUK) - and possible solutions for this [PDF]

open access: yes, 2012
A novel multi-objective transmission expansion planning (MOTEP) tool has been developed to analyse, on a comprehensive geographical scale, the reinforcements required to a base case electrical transmission network following application of a chosen future

Multiyear Transmission Expansion Planning Using Ordinal Optimization [PDF]

open access: yesIEEE Transactions on Power Systems, 2007
The increasing complexity of the transmission expansion planning problem in the restructured industry makes simulation the only viable means to evaluate and compare the performances of different plans. Ordinal optimization is an approach suitable for solving the simulation-based multiyear transmission expansion planning problem.

Plecstatin inhibits hepatocellular carcinoma tumorigenesis and invasion through cytolinker plectin

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
The ruthenium‐based metallodrug plecstatin exerts its anticancer effect in hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) primarily through selective targeting of plectin. By disrupting plectin‐mediated cytoskeletal organization, plecstatin inhibits anchorage‐dependent growth, cell polarization, and tumor cell dissemination.

Joint Expansion Planning of Energy Storage and Transmission Considering Power System Flexibility

open access: yesZhongguo dianli, 2021
In order to accommodate high-penetration wind & PV power sources with strong fluctuation and randomness, the access of renewables and planning of transmission grids not only need to consider the balance of electricity, but also the balance of flexibility

The PI3Kδ inhibitor roginolisib (IOA‐244) preserves T‐cell function and activity

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Identification of novel PI3K inhibitors with limited immune‐related adverse effects is highly sought after. We found that roginolisib and idelalisib inhibit chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL) cells and Treg suppressive functions to similar extents, but roginolisib affects cytotoxic T‐cell function and promotion of pro‐inflammatory T helper subsets to a
