A propose of rules defining as a didactic transposition should occur or be achieved - the generalized didactic transposition theory

open access: yes, 2018
We present the most current version of the theory of didactic transposition that encompasses (synthesizes) Theory of Chevallard (1991), the Cognitive Theory of Science (CTS) and Mental Models of Jhonson-Laird (1980).

Cell‐cycle‐specific lesion evolution rather than inhibition of double‐strand‐break repair underpins cisplatin radiosensitization

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
We analyze cisplatin–DNA adducts (CDAs) and double‐strand breaks (DSBs) in a cell‐cycle‐dependent manner. We find that CDAs form similarly across all cell cycle phases. DSBs arise only in S‐phase. CDAs might not directly impair DSB repair, but S‐phase DSB lesions evolve in the presence of CDAs and disrupt repair in G2, also causing radiosensitization ...

Pozicija stvarnosti u umjetničkom tekstu Julija Knifera i u slavonskoj ratnoj prozi

open access: yesAnafora, 2016
The status of ”reality” in visual and literary art is the subject of research of this paper. By doing a comparative reading of both a visual and a literary text, different reality transposition models and semantic aspects in both arts will be pursued, as

Hijacking emergency granulopoiesis: Neutrophil ontogeny and reprogramming in cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Neutrophils are highly plastic innate immune cells; their functions in cancer extend beyond the tumour microenvironment. This Review summarises current understanding of neutrophil maturation and heterogeneity and highlights tumour‐induced granulopoiesis as a systemic programme that expands immature, immunosuppressive neutrophils via tumour‐derived ...

Vertical bifacial PV systems: irradiance modeling and performance analysis of a lightweight system for flat roofs

open access: yesEPJ Photovoltaics
Vertical bifacial photovoltaic (PV) systems are gaining interest as they can enable deployment of PV in locations with grid or area limitations. Over Easy Solar has developed a lightweight design for vertical bifacial systems for flat roofs employing ...

Longitudinal circulating tumor DNA profiling in patients with advanced endometrial cancer using an off‐the‐shelf targeted NGS panel

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Intratumour heterogeneity complicates precision management of advanced endometrial cancer. Circulating tumor DNA (ctDNA) offers a minimally invasive strategy to capture tumor evolution and therapeutic resistance. Here, we compare tumor‐agnostic NGS with tumor‐informed ddPCR, outlining their relative sensitivity, concordance, and clinical implications ...

Molecular pathways and animal models of d-transposition of the great arteries

open access: yes, 2015
\ua9 Springer-Verlag Wien 2016. During normal cardiovascular development, the outflow tract becomes septated and rotates so that the separate aorta and pulmonary trunk are correctly aligned with the left and right ventricles, respectively.

Structural changes in intestinal enteroendocrine cells after ileal interposition in normal rats

open access: yes, 2011
INTRODUCTION: No therapeutic approach has significantly impacted the progression of diabetes. As early improvement of glicaemic control is observed after bariatric surgeries, there is currently a search for surgical procedures that can promote euglycemia

Interaction of HS1BP3 with cortactin modulates TKS5 localisation, cell secretion and cancer malignancy

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Here, we demonstrate that HS1BP3 interacts with Cortactin through a proline‐rich region (PRR3.1) and show that this interaction, and HS1BP3 itself, promote cancer cell proliferation and invasion. Inhibition of this interaction leads to build‐up of TKS5 in multivesicular endosomes and altered secretion of CD63 and CD9, providing an explanation for the ...
