The notion of transversality has proved of immense value in differential topology. The Thom transversality lemma and its many variants show that transversality is a dense, and often open, property.

ABSTRACT Advancing artificial intelligence (AI) has transformed learning and work, yet higher education and professional development programs have not systematically equipped learners for AI‐prevalent environments. This lack of preparation creates uncertainty regarding control, responsibility, trust, and accountability.

ON NECESSARY OPTIMALITY CONDITIONS FOR RAMSEY-TYPE PROBLEMS
We study an optimal control problem in infinite time, where the integrand does not depend explicitly on the state variable. A special case of such problem is the Ramsey optimal capital accumulation in centralized economy.

ABSTRACT Background Central nervous system (CNS) inflammatory demyelinating syndromes, including multiple sclerosis (MS), aquaporin‐4 antibody–positive neuromyelitis optica spectrum disorder (AQP4 + NMOSD), and myelin oligodendrocyte glycoprotein (MOG) antibody–associated disease (MOGAD), occasionally overlap.

Neurovascular Contacts in the Pathophysiology of Neuralgic Amyotrophy: An Observational Study
ABSTRACT Objective Neuralgic amyotrophy (NA) is a prevalent, monophasic, multifocal immune‐mediated neuropathy. A distinctive characteristic of the disease is the occurrence of nerve or fascicle constrictions and torsions (NA‐associated focal nerve lesions, NAFL). The pathophysiology underlying this phenomenon remains to be fully elucidated.

Necessity of Transversality Conditions for Stochastic Problems [PDF]
This paper shows stochastic versions of (i) Michel's (1990, Econometrica 58, 705--723, Theorem 1) necessity result , (ii) a generalization of the TVC results of Weitzman (1973, Manage. Sci. 19, 783--789) and Ekeland and Scheinkman (1986, Math. Oper. Res.

University, Biodiversity, and Education
Context: Biodiversity is a condition of human existence. By transforming nature, man has also transformed its context, with ensuing progressive degradation of biological diversity.

AbstractThe max-flow min-cut theorem is used to give a necessary and sufficient condition for one or two finite families of finite non-negative vectors to have a (common) vector transversal. The duality theorem of linear programming is then used to prove the polymatroid intersection theorem for any finite number of polymatroids, which in turn is used ...

We express the obstruction to G G -transversality in two related ways: as an element in the quotient of homotopical equivariant normal bordism by geometric bordism and also as the obstruction in a homotopy lifting problem. In both cases,
