Journal of Engineering Mechanics, 1983An elasticity solution is presented for a semi‐infinite transversely isotropic medium having a circular cylindrical hole with an elastic lining. The lining is analyzed as an orthotropic shell. The general solution obtained is specialized for the cases of rigid lining and no lining.
