Acupuncture‐Integrated Chinese‐Western Medicine Accelerated Rehabilitation Protocol Following Acute Achilles Tendon Repair: A Prospective Cohort Study

open access: yesOrthopaedic Surgery, EarlyView.
This study demonstrates that acupuncture‐integrated accelerated rehabilitation after acute Achilles tendon repair significantly reduces early postoperative pain and swelling, facilitating mobilization and enhancing objective functional recovery at 12 weeks compared to traditional and sham acupuncture protocols. ABSTRACT Objective Postoperative pain and

Biportal endoscopic foraminotomy of the L7–S1 neuroforamen in dogs: Description of surgical technique and ex vivo comparison with conventional open dorsolateral foraminotomy

open access: yesVeterinary Surgery, EarlyView.
Abstract Objective (1) To establish a surgical technique for minimally invasive biportal endoscopic foraminotomy (BEF) of L7–S1 in dogs using arthroscopic equipment. (2) To compare BEF and dorsolateral foraminotomy (DF) and (3) to provide clinical results of the first client‐owned dog treated by way of BEF.

Automated Segmentation of Median Nerve Cross‐Sectional Area in Healthy Controls and Patients With Carpal Tunnel Syndrome Using a Convolutional Neural Network

open access: yesMuscle &Nerve, Volume 73, Issue 5, Page 843-850, May 2026.
ABSTRACT Introduction/Aims The cross‐sectional area (CSA) of the median nerve (MN) is a key parameter for confirming carpal tunnel syndrome (CTS) with ultrasound. This study evaluates the performance of a convolutional neural network (CNN) with a 2D U‐Net architecture for automated MN CSA segmentation in both healthy individuals and patients with CTS ...
