Treatment Resistant Depression and Sleep Apnea: A Case Report

open access: yesNeuropsychiatric Investigation, 2015
Treatment resistance is an important issue in patients with depressive disorder and nearly a third of patients may not reach remission despite multiple drug trials.

Excess deaths in treatment-resistant depression

open access: yesTherapeutic Advances in Psychopharmacology, 2021
Background: Patients with treatment-resistant depression (TRD) have an increased mortality risk compared with other patients with depression, but it is not known how this translates into absolute numbers of excess deaths.

Enhanced Strength and Corrosion Resistance of Ti‐13Nb‐12Ta‐10Zr‐4Sn Alloy by Aging Treatment

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
This work systematically investigates the effect of aging treatment on mechanical properties and corrosion behavior of vacuum arc‐melted Ti‐13Nb‐12Ta‐10Zr‐4Sn alloy. Owing to the increased α″ martensite, strength and corrosion resistance were significantly enhanced by aging treatment.

Stretching the Printability Metric in Direct‐Ink Writing with Highly Extensible Yield‐Stress Fluids

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
This study introduces “drawability” as a new metric for assessing printability in direct‐ink writing, focusing on gap‐spanning performance and speed robustness. By designing yield‐stress fluids with high extensibility, we demonstrate that extensional strain‐to‐break significantly enhances printability.

Low openness on the revised NEO personality inventory as a risk factor for treatment-resistant depression.

open access: yesPLoS ONE, 2013
BackgroundRecently, we reported that low reward dependence, and to a lesser extent, low cooperativeness in the Temperature and Character Inventory (TCI) may be risk factors for treatment-resistant depression.

Hydrogen‐Bond–Driven Ion Retention in Electrolyte‐Gated Synaptic Transistors

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Anion molecular design governs ion–polymer interactions in electrolyte‐gated synaptic transistors. Asymmetric anions induce hydrogen‐bond interactions that suppress ion back‐diffusion and stabilize doping, enabling enhanced nonvolatile synaptic properties.

CHALLENGES OF TREATMENT-RESISTANT DEPRESSION

open access: yesPsychiatria Danubina, 2018
Guidelines for the management of treatment-resistant depression (TRD) do not meet the criteria of evidence-based medicine and better-quality research is required to inform clinical practice. Current treatments of resistant depression remains largely empirical. There are no bench-mark antidepressants.

Self‐Healing and Stretchable Synaptic Transistor

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
A self‐healing stretchable synaptic transistor (3S‐T) is realized using a p‐PVDF‐HFP‐DBP/PDMS‐MPU‐IU bilayer as gate insulator, where dipole‐dipole interaction enhances polarization to achieve a large memory window. Leveraging its neuronal biomimicry, the synaptic transistor demonstrates electrically compatibility with the biological brain. Furthermore,

Mirtazapine combination in treatmentresistant major depressive disorder: a retrospective evaluation of six weeks

open access: yesPsychiatry and Clinical Psychopharmacology, 2021
Objective: Despite the adequate time and dose of antidepressant treatment, approximately one-third of the patients with major depression do not respond.

Efficacy of repetitive transcranial magnetic stimulation in treatment-resistant depression: the evidence thus far

open access: yesGeneral Psychiatry, 2019
Depression is a common mental disorder, which attributes to significant morbidity, disability and burden of care. A significant number of patients with depression still remain symptomatic after adequate trials of antidepressant treatment as well as ...
