Establishment of in vitro cultures of tree peonies
Decontamination of elite dwarf cultivars of the tree peony was increased by immersion of expiants (leaves, buds, roots, seeds) in a mixture of 20% ethanol and 0.075% HgCl2 for 7min. Seeds were best decoated and the embryos then disinfested. The phytohormones 2,4-D, BA and GA3 induced callus on both the embryonic axis and cotyledons.

This study explored the role of a novel microcapsule composite Spherulites Peony Superior Retinol (SPSR) on skin damage induced by UVB. The results of in vitro and human efficacy assays further demonstrate that SPSR is beneficial in replenishing skin hydration, promoting epidermal cell growth, soothing skin redness and sensitivity, reducing ROS ...

Comparative Study of Anthocyanins in Tree Peony Flowers.
Flowers of the tree peony, Paeonia suffruticosa, and its interspecific hybrids with P. lutea, and P. delavayi, which originated in China and which were introduced by American and French breeders, were assayed for anthocyanins to trace their development.Petal hues of all Japanese cultivars (Paeonia suffruticosa) were distributed within the blue-red ...

Modulation of Aging Diseases via RAGE Targets: A Dietary Intervention Review
This paper analyzes RAGE ligand‐binding mechanisms and signaling, proposing intervention strategies targeting these interactions. It emphasizes dietary polyphenols, polysaccharides, and terpenoids delivered via functional foods for anti‐aging. These compounds offer long‐term, safe intervention through dietary supplementation, providing dual nutritional

Genetic diversity analysis of tree peony germplasm using iPBS markers
We examined the genetic diversity of 10 wild species (populations) and 55 varieties of tree peony using inter-primer binding site (iPBS) markers. From a total of 36 iPBS primers, 16 were selected based on polymorphic amplification. The number of bands amplified by each primer ranged from 9 to 19, with an average of 12.88 bands per primer. The length of
