Inheritance of Vigour Tree in F1 Apple Interspecific Hybrids
In ornamental apple breeding process, the vigour of the tree is an important characteristic, this trait being analyzed in selection of seminal descendants obtained by hybridization. The vigour of the apple trees was studied in 25 interspecific hybrids F1

Tree vigour, cropping, and phenology of sweet cherries in two systems of tree training on dwarf rootstocks [PDF]
Five cultivars and four rootstocks (Gisela 5, P-HL-A, P-HL-B, and Tabel Edabriz) were evaluated on trees in fruiting stage trained like spindle and on trellis. Tree vigour was significantly related to cultivar, rootstock and to tree training.

Correlations of Soil Fungi, Soil Structure and Tree Vigour on an Apple Orchard with Replant Soil
The soil-borne apple replant disease (ARD) is caused by biotic agents and affected by abiotic properties. There is evidence for the interrelation of the soil fungal population and soil aggregate structure.

Relevance of stem and crown defects to estimate tree vigour in northern hardwood forests
Abstract The visual assessment of tree vigour before partial cutting is a key element of the long-term sustainability of managed hardwood forests. Several classification systems have been developed and applied to perform this task during the tree marking process.

THE VIGOUR AS CANOPY VOLUME OF CERTAIN NECTARINE TREE CULTIVARS ACCORDING TO THE CANOPY SHAPE [PDF]
The canopy volume is one of the main factors to be taken into account when deciding whether a new plantation should be intensified or not. The growth and fructification phases are genetic characteristics of cultivars and they represent the latter’s ...

Fruit colour, leaf nitrogen level, and tree vigour in ‘Fuji’ apples [PDF]
Abstract A survey of red colour in ‘Fuji’ apple ( Mains domestica Borkh.) fruit from trees in orchards situated in three regions of New Zealand has confirmed that tree vigour, tree nitrogen (N) status, and region are important factors determining the extent and intensity of ...
